Compilation Of The Questionnaire For Evaluating The Frailty Knowledge Of The Elderly In Community

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compile a questionnaire on the knowledge of frailty of the community elderly with good reliability and validity,and to provide a scientific and effective evaluation tool for investigating the current situation of the recognition of frailty related knowledge and analyzing its influencing factors in the future.Methods:1.Forming an initial entry pool based on literature review and panel discussion.Through searching the relevant databases at home and abroad,sorting out the relevant documents,forming the entry pool of the questionnaire.Then discussing with the group members,please make suggestions on the contents of the questionnaire.Revising the questionnaire according to the opinions of the group members to form the initial entry pool of the questionnaire. 2.Using Delphi expert consultation and preast test to improve the content of the questionnaire to form the initial questionnaire.Using a positive factor to indicate the positive level of the expert,that is,the recovery rate of the expert letter questionnaire.Using the authority coefficient to express the expert’s authority,and the basis and familiarity of the expert’s judgment on the consultation content are determined together.Using the coordination factors to indicate the degree of coordination of experts.After chi-square test,if the coordination coefficient was significant(P<0.05),the coordination of expert evaluation was good and the result was desirable.On the items of mean value<3.5,coefficient of variation>0.25,full score<20%,combined with expert opinion,decide whether to delete.Ten community elderly people who met the standard of admission were selected for preast test and asked them to evaluate the questionnaire and propose amendments.3.Using the convenient sampling method,five communities in Shenyang were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey on the elderly who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the community.Using the critical ratio method,the total correlation coefficient method and the Cronbach coefficient method to analyze the project.Using exploratory factor analysis to test the structural validity of the questionnaire.Using the content validity index to test the content validity of the questionnaire.Using internal consistency reliability and half reliability to test the reliability of the questionnaire.Finally,a formal questionnaire was formed to evaluate the frailty relevant knowledge of the community elderly.Results:1.Through a review of the relevant literature and discussion by panel members,an initial questionnaire containing 5 dimensions,55 entries is formed,with basic concepts(4 entries),main etiology(6 entries),major hazards(5 entries),influencing factors(33 entries),prevention and intervention measures(7 entries).2.This study selected 18 experts and conducted two rounds of correspondence.In the first round,17 experts’ s average age is(48.82±4.93),average working life is(26.00±7.17)years.In the second round,15 experts’ s average age is(49.27±4.68),average working life is(24.87±8.53)years.The recovery rate of the two rounds of questionnaire is 94.44% and 88.24% respectively.The authority coefficient of experts is 0.903 and0.899 respectively.The coordination coefficient of expert opinion is 0.245 and 0.251 respectively,and the P value of significant test are <0.05,the difference is statistically significant.According to the results of two rounds of expert letters,the initial item pool is modified and perfected,and a questionnaire containing 5 dimensions and 41 items is formed.The 10 participants said that the questionnaire was both well readable and practical,had no unclear or incomprehensible entries,and could complete the questionnaire within 20 minutes.3.This study investigated 278 subjects,and the recovery rate and efficiency rate of the questionnaire are all 100%.The respondent’s average age is(69.27±6.46).Three entries are deleted after item analysis of the questionnaire.The sampling appropriateness values(KMO)of the three exploratory factor analyses are all >0.6,and the Bartlett Spherical Test(Bartlett)reach a significant level(P<0.05).Finally,six factors >1 are extracted,and the cumulative contribution rate is 59.836%.The content validity index of the whole questionnaire is 0.92,and the item level content validity index are >0.78.As a whole,the Cronbach’α coefficient and half coefficient of the questionnaire are 0.862 and0.681 respectively.Conclusion:In this study,the questionnaire is compiled strictly according to the process of compiling the questionnaire,and finally forms a formal questionnaire with 6dimensions and 25 items,including basic concepts,main causes,main hazards,influencing factors of physical weakness,influencing factors of mental weakness,prevention and intervention measures.The questionnaire has good reliability and validity.
