| Objective: To explore whether effective telephone follow-up can improve the efficacy and safety of warfarin in patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods: 180 patients with atrial fibrillation who took warfarin from November 2016 to November 2018 were enrolled. They were randomized to study group and control group for 1 year follow-up.The study group conducted monthly telephone follow-up,the control group was only followed up by telephone once a year. The major adverse events were defined as arterial system embolism, major bleeding or all-cause mortality. Results: Finally,158 patients were included in this analysis,including78 patients in study control group and 80 patients in control group.Compared with the control group,After regular telephone follow-up on warfarin in patients with atrial fibrillation in the study group,a significant reduction in the combined endpoint events of death, embolism and major bleeding(18.0% vs.50.0%,HR :0.28,95 CI 0.16~0.48,P<0.001).And reduce the risk of death(9.0% vs.20.0%,HR:0.40,95% CI 0.18~0.91,P<0.05),the events of embolism and major bleeding(9.0% vs.30.0%,HR:0.25,95 CI 0.13~0.52,P<0.001).Conclusion: For patients with atrial fibrillation who take warfarin, regular and effective telephone follow-up significant reduce the risk of arterial system embolism, major bleeding and all-cause mortality. |
