Objective Depression is one of the most common mental diseases, which is a high incidence, common and persistent mental disease for our whole human society, and brings great mental stress and economic burden to patients’families.Previous studies have shown that rumination and cognitive fusion usually prolong and aggravate negative emotions and depression symptoms.Authenticity source monitoring, cognitive fusion and rumination all involve the process of distinguishing external real events from individual internal psychological experiences,so this study will further explore with source monitoring. At present, the research objects of source monitoring are mainly concentrated in the normal population and schizophrenia patients, and there are few researches on depressive patients. In addition, the previous researches on depressive patients all focused on emotional processing, cognitive processing and personality. Therefore, this study explores the relationship between depression severity and source monitoring, cognitive fusion and rumination, which can not only enrich the research of source monitoring, but also expand a new perspective of depression research. Therefore,to explore the characteristics of source monitoring in patients with depression and the relationship between the severity of depression and source monitoring, cognitive fusion and rumination. Methods From December 2019 to July 2020,18-55-year-old depressed patients who met DSM-5 standard were selected and divided into three groups according to Zung’s self-rating depression scale(SDS),with 20 cases in each group. At the same time,20healthy control cases were recruited by the society, that is,the experimental tasks, enrollment conditions and registration methods were made into paper leaflets and sent to nurses, patients’friends, security guards, regular trainees and personnel who were trained, practiced and studied in the hospital of Hangzhou Seventh People’s Hospital.About 50 leaflets were distributed, with 20 effective subjects.During the whole experiment, each participant was evaluated by the same trained psychology graduate student with Zung’s Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),three-key task paradigm of source monitoring,Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire(CFQ)and Thinking Ruminant Scale(RRS).Results(1)The average ACSIM of healthy control group was higher than that of mild, moderate and severe depression groups, and the ACSIM of mild depression group was the highest(all P<0.01).(2)There were significant differences in cognitive fusion scores and rumination scores among the four groups(F=34.12,P<0.01;F=21.46,P<0.01).(3)There was a significant difference in"picture attributed to imagination","imagination attributed to picture"among the four groups(x~2=8.22,P=0.038;x~2=8.07,P=0,.044).back testing showed that the severe depression group was higher than the healthy control group, mild and moderate groups(P<0.05).(4)There is a significant difference in the scores of source monitoring indicators between different parts of speech materials in these four groups(x~2=22.382,P<0.001;x~2=20.758,P<0.001;F=18.737,P<0.001);Further,back testing found that in the negative etymology test, the indicators of healthy group were higher than those of depression group(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in scores between mild depression group and moderate depression group(P>0.05),while mild depression group was higher than severe depression group with statistical difference(P<0.01).In the neutral etymology test, there is no significant difference in the source test scores between the healthy group and the mild depression group(P>0.05),but the source test scores of the healthy group are higher than the moderate and severe ones, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in source monitoring between mild depression and moderate depression, but it was higher in mild depression group than in severe depression group(P<0.01).The source monitoring index of moderate group was higher than that of severe group(P<0.05).In positive etymology test, healthy group was higher than moderate and severe depression group(P<0.05),while mild and moderate depression group was higher than severe depression group(P<0.05).(5)One-way ANOVA analysis of reaction time showed that there was no significant difference in reaction time between healthy control group and three groups of depression patients(x~2=6.46,P=0.091).According to the parts of speech(negative, neutral, positive)of experimental materials, the reaction time was divided and analyzed by one-way ANOVA:the reaction time corresponding to positive words was significantly different among groups(F=2.868,P<0.05),among which the reaction time of healthy control group was greater than that of moderate and severe depression groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference among mild, moderate and severe depression groups(P>0.05)(6)Stepwise regression analysis showed that ACSIM was negatively correlated with the standard score of Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)(β=-20.59),while CFQ score and RRS score were positively correlated with SDS standard score(β=0.66,0.30).Conclusion The severity of depression is closely related to source monitoring, cognitive fusion and rumination. The higher the severity of depression, the lower the level of source monitoring. The higher the severity of depression, the higher the scores of cognitive integration and thinking rumination.
