| Objective:The objective of this study was to provide some reference to reduce the absorption of alveolar bone and elderly patients’ prosthodontics by analyzing the age-related changes of alveolar bone in CBCT and preliminary exploring the differential expression of mi RNA in the aged alveolar bone.Methods:1.Collecting 80 patients CBCT imaging data(18-30 years old, over 60 years old,40 cases respectively).Measuring and analyzing the thickness of buccal and palatal(lingual)cortical bone in maxilla and mandible, width and density of the alveolar bone in maxilla and mandible, height of maxilla alveolar bone by a software of i-Dixel and SPSS.2.Collecting 12 samples of healthy alveolar bone(6 young and 6 old respectively).Different expression of mi RNA in the aged alveolar bone will be screened by sequencing. Then predicting the related target genes and constructing a possible regulatory network involved in the regulation of alveolar bone aging with the bioinformatics technology.Results:1.Compared with the young group, the thickness of palatal and lingual alveolar cortical bone in the elderly was decreased, especially on the lingual side of mandible in females, but on the buccal side of the anterior was increased. The width of alveolar cancellous bone in the aged group decreased in the regions of the maxillary posterior and mandibular anterior, especially in the maxilla of aged man.Although the height of the alveolar bone in the maxilla increased in the elderly, from canine to the first molar, the bone mineral density in the elderly was significantly decreased.2.328 mi RNAs were detected by high-throughput sequencing, including 210 upregulated mi RNAs.The expression of mi R-34 family,mi R-199 a,mi R-200 family, and mi R-10 a were significantly increased in the aged alveolar bone;their corresponding target genes were mainly involved in the biological processes of metabolic regulation, intercellular communication. Conclusions:With the increase of age,the thickness of alveolar cortical bone on the palatal(lingual)side was decreased, especially in the lingual of the aged female;the width of alveolar cancellous bone was decreased significantly in the aged man.Though the height of the alveolar bone in the maxilla was increased in the old group, the bone mineral density was significantly decreased in the elderly. The mi RNA,which expression changed in aged alveolar bone, maybe participate in the regulation of alveolar bone aging. |
