Research On Patient Information Support Contents Of Digital Joint Orthognathic-orthodontics Treatment

Objective:Under the guidance of patient participation concept and under the background of the rise of digital technology,this study focuses on the information support status of patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities,understands the information needs in the combination treatment of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontic treatment,further synthesizes the existing evidence and medical experts,explores and constructs the information support content of digital orthodontic joint treatment,in order to improve the patient’s experience,promote patients to participate in treatment decision-making,improve the patient’s digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment information support system,improve the quality of medical services.Methods:1.Summary of information support contents of joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment: follow the five steps proposed by Arksey and O’Malley to search and report the literature of information support content of joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment and patient education data in professional associations from November2018 screening and summarizing the literature and materials.2.Descriptive nature research on information needs of patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities in different treatment stages: based on the research method of naturalistic inquiry philosophy,adopting the method of objective sampling and the strategy of maximum difference,we selected the patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities who received digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment in the department of Oral and Crainomaxillofacial Surgery of a third class hospital in Shanghai,and conducted semi-structured qualitative interviews to understand the different treatment in order to provide the basis for the information support contents,the diagnosis and treatment experience and information needs of patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities in the treatment stage were discussed.3.Description of medical experts’ opinions on information support of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment: using the method of objective sampling and the strategy of maximum difference,medical experts participating in different treatment links of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment were selected for semi-structured qualitative interviews to understand the opinions or suggestions of medical experts on information support of digital orthodontics and orthodontics,in order to provide reference for information support contents.4.The construction of patient information support contents of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment: according to the summary,combined with the results of qualitative interviews between patients,family members and medical experts,the construction of patient information support contents of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment was revised through focus group interviews.Results:1.Summary of the contents of orthognathic-orthodontics treatment information support: a total of 3535 literatures were retrieved,and the final inclusion of 36 articles,published from 1995 to 2018,the information providers included in the study,the time of information support,the contents and manner of information support,the research objects involved,research design,Analysis of research methods,etc.; searching 149 professional associations,which eventually included patient education materials from 13 physician associations,originated in 8 countries,including 6 oral maxillofacial surgeons’ associations,3 orthodontists’ associations,and 4 plastic surgeons’ associations.The content of patient education and material form were analyzed,and 7 topics and 19 sub-topics were obtained through content analysis.2.The description nature of information needs in patients with different treatment stages of dento-maxillofacial deformities was studied: a total of 36 patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities who received the combination treatment of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment were included,summarized their experience and information needs in different treatment stages,and formed 3 themes and 18 sub-topics.3.The medical care experts on the digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment information support opinion of the nature of the study: a total of 12 different treatment links of the health care experts,summarized their digital orthognathic-orthodontics treatment information support advice or recommendations,the formation of 5 topics,17 sub-themes.4.Construction of patient information support contents of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment : after 2 rounds of focus group interviews,6patients and family members,7 health care experts were organized to discuss the digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment information support contents,and finally revised to form the final draft,including 5 treatment time series,3 information support content modules,43 first-level entries,133 secondary entries and related specifics.Conclusion:This study reviewed the relevant literature and related information contents of joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment,and based on the diagnosis experience and information needs of different digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment stage in patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities,combined with the opinions and suggestions of medical experts in joint treatment,the direction of the digital joint treatment information support direction of the medical collaboration model was clarified.This study establishes that the contents of information support for digital joint orthognathic-orthodontics treatment patients can fit the situation of our country,called for the cooperation of multidisciplinary team medical staff,paid attention to the psychological changes and diagnosis and treatment experience of patients in each link of the combined treatment,supported by positive psychological support,promoted patients to participate in the treatment decision-making,guaranteed the continuity of information provision in the whole process of the digital orthodontic combined treatment,and implemented The individualized precise medical model provides a reference for the future development of mobile medical information support scheme for patients with dento-maxillofacial deformities and the improvement of the clinical practice of digital joint orthognathic-orthodontic treatment information support system,so as to verify the effectiveness of the research results and continuously improve.
