| With the ageing of our population becoming increasingly serious,retirement has become a livelihood issue of great concern to all sectors of society,and the function of family retirement is gradually weakening and gradually shifting to society.The introduction of integrated medical and nursing care services will meet the urgent needs of some elderly people,the disabled,the semi-disabled,the mentally handicapped and the chronically ill,who require a higher level of care and attention.As the backbone of the "combined medical and nursing care" nursing care service,the nursing staff have an impact on the quality of the service provided by the nursing institutions,and there is a growing call for their specialisation.Improving the professionalism of the nursing staff will be of great importance to the promotion of "combined medical and nursing care" and the development of the elderly care industry.Lanzhou’s aging population is more serious among the 14 cities in Gansu Province,with greater pressure on pensions,the degree of specialization of the nursing staff of the "combined medical and nursing care" institutions directly affects the development of the elderly service system in Lanzhou.How to improve the professionalization of the nursing staff in "combined medical and nursing care" institutions is an important issue that the government and all sectors of society need to pay attention to.In this study,we used literature method,questionnaire method,interview method and case study method to understand the current situation of the degree of professionalism of elderly caregivers in six aspects:professional knowledge and skills,professional training,professional autonomy,professional development,professional spirit and professional status.It was found that the nursing staff in Lanzhou "combined medical and nursing care" institutions lack professional knowledge and skills,the professional training system is not perfect,limited professional autonomy,poor professional development channel,lack of professional spirit,low professional status and other difficulties.Then,we discussed the reasons for the difficulties of professionalization of nursing staff in Lanzhou City from the governmental,social,institutional and individual levels.we propose recommendations to improve the professionalism of caregivers in Lanzhou City from four aspects:policy protection,social support,institutional improvement and personal empowerment. |
