Vitamin B12 is also known as cobalamin, further catorgorised into cyanocobalamin, methylcobalamin(MC),adenosylcobalamin, and hydroxocobalamin due to different groups linked to the central Co+.Among them, hydroxocobalamin is also called long-acting vitamin B12.It not only participates in the metabolism of human cells and maintains the operation of the nervous system, but also acts as an antidote to cyanide in high doses. Therefore,it has been taken as a strategic reserve by some powerful countries and research on its preparation process has always been of concern focus. This study selects different kinds of vitamin B12as raw materials to prepare hydroxocobalamin by photolysis, with the purpose to screen out the most suitable raw materials for further exploration. It was found that the photolysis of hydroxocobalamin with methylcobalamin as raw material has the advantages of high efficiency, fast kinetics, and high product purity. At the same time, the concentration of the raw material decreases exponentially with reaction time, and the photolysis process shows a first-order reaction kinetics behaviour. At the same time, the effects of wavelength,p H,initial mass concentration, and light intensity on the photolysis of methylcobalamin to produce hydroxocobalamin were investigated using a multi-channel system.By analyzing the reasons for the effects of various factors on the reaction rate constant, the optimal operating conditions are screened out to give the fastest reaction rate at the wavelength of 420nm,and follow first-order kinetics. When the p H of the reaction solution is 7,the photolysis solution is most stable. As the initial mass concentration of the reaction solution increases, the reaction rate gradually decreases, while as the light intensity gradually increases, the reaction rate gradually becomes faster.Based on the above studies,an attempt was made to design a high-concentration hydroxocobalamin preparation process and device accommodating for the experimental operating conditions. The purpose is to develop a simple,high-efficiency,high-concentration and high-yield hydroxocobalamin preparation process and device, and prepare a patent application based on it.The process conditions used in this subject do not yield any pollutant emissions and provide reliable data for the photolytic production of hydroxocobalamin, which can be applied to actual industrial production and is also an environmentally-friendly green process technology.
