| Objectives:To investigate whether anxiety disorder is one of risk factors about non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.Besides,to search for influence factors which is related to the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients with different body mass index.By these ways are we aimed to provide a new aspect of study about prevention or treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.Demography, anthropometry and results about health examination data related to our study were collected from the adults(18 years or older)who got health examination from July 2020 to November 2020 in the center of physical examination of the Second Affiliated Hospital of KunMing Medical University.Anxiety and its’ severity were assessed with the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire(GAD-7).Fatty liver disease was defined by utilizing the abdominal ultrasound.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria,762 subjects were include for analysis. Those subjects were divided into anxiety group with 227 individuals and non-anxiety group with 525 individuals according to score of subjects’GAD-7.Based on BMI and results of abdominal ultrasound, those subjects also were divided into non-NAFLD group with 477 individuals,non-obese NAFLD group with 93 individuals and obese NAFLD group with 192 individuals.Normally distreibuted continuous data were presented as mean± standard deviation(SD).The independent samples t-test was used for comparion of normally distributed data between two groups and one-way analysis of variance was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between groups.Categorical or qualitative data were presented as numbers or percentages, and the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between groups.Non-normally distributed continuous data were presented as M(P25-P75).The Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparion of non-normally distributed continuous data between two groups and the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison non-normally distributed continuous data between groups.A multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate risk factors of non-obese and obese NAFLD.Results:Among the 762 individuals who underwent the physical examination, the detection rate of NAFLD was 37.4%.In the univariate analysis, compared to without anxiety, those with anxiety had a lower weight, body mass index, waist circumference, levels of ALT,AST,TG,FPG,and they also were more likely to be younger, single, female, physical activity frequency<150min/w,night sleep time<6h/d.There was any statistically significant difference of prevalence rate of anxiety, scores of GAD-7,and severity of anxiety between non-NAFLD,non-obese NAFLD,and obese NAFLD groups. In the multivariate analysis, single, female, and physical activity frequency<150min/w were associated with increased risk of anxiety(odds ratio[OR],95%confidence interval[CI]:OR 2.036 95%CI 1.314-3.156,OR 1.686 95%CI 1.072-2.652,OR 1.513 95%CI 1.069-2.142,respectively),age and night sleep time were associated with decreased risk of anxiety(OR 0.982 95%CI 0.966-0.999,OR 0.475 95%CI 0.339-0.664,respectively),NAFLD was not risk factors for Anxiety(P=0.638).For non-obese NAFLD,male,ALT,TG,LDL-C,and WC level were risk factors(OR 1.962 95%CI 1.053-3.656,OR 1.022 95%CI 1.001-1.044,OR 1.468 95%CI 1.192-1.808,OR 1.544 95%CI 1.111-2.146,OR 1.052 95%CI 1.005-1.102,respectively),HDL-C level was associated with decreased risk of non-obese NAFLD(OR 0.165 95%CI 0.049-0.559).However,as for obese NAFLD,waist circumference,ALT,TG,LDL-C,and high month income levels were risk factors for it(OR 1.06595%CI 1.018-1.114,OR 1.028 95%CI 1.018-1.114,OR 1.485 95%CI 1.207-1.826,OR 1.469 95%CI 1.039-2.077,OR 2.919 95%CI 1.253-6.803,respectively).1.Conclusions:Anxiety is not associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.2.Individuals who are single, female,or physical activity frequency<150min/w are more likely to have anxiety.3.Male,TG,LDL-C,WC levels are independent risks for non-obese NAFLD,but HDL-C levels is related with decreased risk of non-obese NAFLD.4.Waist circumference,TG,LDL-C,and high month income levels are risk factors of obese NAFLD. |
