Study Of TCM Constitution Distribution And Correlative Factors In Patients With White Matter Lesions And Mild Cognitive Impairment

Objective:To discuss the distribution of TCM Constitution in patients with leukodystrophy and mild cognitive impairment(MCI),and to search the relationship between major constitution types and correlative factors.Aims to provide some ideals for TCM clinical syndrome differentiation and physical nourishment for such patients,and provide a few objective evidence for the early prevention and treatment for patients.Method:In this research,222 patients with leukodystrophy confirmed by transcranial magnetic resonance examination were collected from the department of encephalopathy of Weifang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.Using some cognitive function-related scale to assess cognitive function in all patients included,According to whether they had MCI,There were 115 patients in observation group(white matter lesion MCI group)and 107 patients in control group(white matter lesion NC group)in observation group.Collecting the correlative clinical data on cases included,including the patient’s age,widowhood status,education level and other basic data and related laboratory results,The constitution type of the patients was confirmed by constitution rating table.Spss21.0 was applied to data processing and analysis.Result:1.The discrepancy of education level between the two sets was significant difference,and there was no significant difference in gender,age,oligo status and so on.the base line was concordant and comparable.2.Among the 115 patients with leukodystrophy in the MCI group,the top three biased constitution were Qi deficiency constitution(25.22%),blood stasis constitution(20.87%)and phlegm dampness constitution(17.39%)except the uncollected special constitution.3.Among 107 NC patients with leukodystrophy,the top three constitution biased types were blood stasis constitution(34.30%),Yang deficiency constitution(16.82%)and Qi deficiency constitution(14.95%)except the uncollected special constitution.4.Logistic regression analysis of three common constitution types(Qi deficiency,blood stasis,phlegm dampness)and relevant factors in MCI group showed that qi deficiency was positively correlated with sugar diabetes and TG abnormalities;blood stasis and abnormal blood Hcy are positively related;phlegm dampness was positively correlated with abnormal TG and tobacco history.Conclusion:1.The TCM Constitution of MCI group was mainly Qi deficiency,followed by blood stasis and phlegm dampness.2.The TCM Constitution of NC group was mainly blood stasis,followed by Yang deficiency and Qi deficiency.3.For MCI patients with white matter lesions: diabetes and TG abnormalities are the risk factors for qi deficiency;blood Hcy abnormalities is the risk factor for blood stasis;smoking history and TG abnormalities are the risk factors for phlegm dampness.
