Objective: To explore whether the “Gengzi years of Yunqi Formula”based on the theory of “Five Circuits and Six Qi”has anti-cancer effects during the medical treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer, and whether it can alleviate the toxic reactions and side effects produced during the anti-cancer treatment.Evaluate whether the prescription can achieve the purpose of prolonging the life of patients and having a high-quality life. Methods: The patient population in this study is 40 patients with pancreatic cancer who were in Shandong Provincial Hospital from January2020 to January 2021 and met the research criteria.Among them,20 patients were treated with chemotherapy alone and 20 patients were treated with chemotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine.Statistically record the patient’s general information, whether to undergo surgery, whether to have diabetes, whether to have liver metastasis, pathological staging based on TNM,location of the lesion, toxic and side effects,KPS score, clinical treatment efficacy, and traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,etc..Statistical analysis software was used to analyze the differences between groups and before and after treatment,so as to explore the clinical efficacy of the two treatments for pancreatic cancer.Result:1.Twenty patients with pancreatic cancer undergoing chemotherapy and Chinese herbal medicine were included in the treatment group, and 20 patients with pancreatic cancer who did not take Chinese herbal medicine but only received chemotherapy were included in the control group.Clinical statistical comparison of general conditions such as age(years),tumor site, surgery, gender, liver metastasis, etc.were not significant(P>0.05).2.Comparison of the clinical therapeutic efficacy(complete remission, partial remission, disease stability, disease progression proportion)between the two groups showed no clinical statistical significance(Z=-0.409,P>0.05).3.The median progression-free survival of the treatment group was4.05 months, and the median overall survival was 7.05 months;the median progression-free survival of the control group was 4.10 months, and the median overall survival was 6.30 months. The clinical statistical comparison showed that the two were not significant(P>0.05),but the overall survival time of the treatment group was slightly longer than that of the control group.4.The KPS scores before and after treatment of the two groups of patients were counted, and the differences before and after treatment were statistically compared. It was found that the improvement of the KPS score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. This result is significant(Z=-2.239,P<0.05).5.A statistical comparison of the occurrence of adverse events between the two groups of patients after treatment showed that the incidence of neutropenia(P<0.05),thrombocytopenia,anemia,nausea and vomiting and diarrhea in the control group were all higher than those in the treatment group.6.A clinical statistical comparison of the traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores of the two groups of patients before treatment showed that there was no significant different in data between the two groups of patients(P>0.05);a comparison of the data after treatment showed that the scores of the patients in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group, the difference was clinically statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine symptom improvement in the treatment group was 85% and that in the control group was 60%.Compared with the above two,it was found that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, and the difference was clinically statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of pancreatic cancer,“Gengzi years of yunqi formula”combined with chemotherapy or simple chemotherapy has a certain effect, but the use of chemotherapy combined with “Gengzi years of yunqi formula”based on the theory of “five circuits and six qi” is better.OS has been extended. At the same time, traditional Chinese medicine also embodies its advantages in enhancing the physical fitness of patients and alleviating adverse reactions to chemotherapy.
