Investigation On Quality Of Life Of Patients With Osteosarcoma After Chemotherapy And Analysis Of TCM Syndrome Distribution Of Insomnia After Chemotherapy

Objectives: To investigate the quality of life(Qo L)of patients with osteosarcoma after chemotherapy,to explore the contributing factors of Qo L,and to analyze the characteristics of TCM distribution of insomnia in patients with osteosarcoma after chemotherapy.Methods:The clinical data of 30 patients with primary osteosarcoma after operation admitted to the Department of Orthopaedics of the 96 th Hospital of Chinese People’s Liberation Army from June 2018 to September 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.The Qo L,depression,anxiety and insomnia were evaluated using the Quality of Life Inventory for Cancer Patients(EORTC QLQ-C30),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Athens Insomnia Scale(AIS),and the contributing factors of Qo L were analyzed.A total of 50 patients with osteosarcoma who received insomnia after chemotherapy in our hospital from June 2018 to December 2020 were selected,and their symptoms and signs(including tongue and pulse)were recorded and differentiated.The distribution characteristics of TCM were analyzed to explore the related factors affecting the distribution of TCM.Results:1.30 osteosarcoma patients had lower scores of overall Qo L,physical function,role function and social function than the normal population,and higher scores of nausea and vomiting,fatigue,pain,insomnia,constipation and financial difficulties than the normal population(P<0.05).Among them,21 cases(70%)had sleep disorders,12 cases(40%)had anxiety,and 18 cases(60%)had depression.2.The number of chemotherapy,recurrence and metastasis,insomnia,and anxiety had a correlation with the overall Qo L(P<0.05).3.The distribution of insomnia in 50 patients with osteosarcoma after chemotherapy was biased,and the order from more to less was heart and spleen deficiency(36%),heart and gallbladder qi deficiency(22%),heart and kidney disharmony(20%),liver fire disturbing the mind(12%),and phlegm-fire disturbing the heart(10%)(P<0.05).4.The number of chemotherapy was correlated with the distribution of TCM disturbance,in which the more the number of chemotherapy,the significantly increased the proportion of deficiency of both heart and spleen and incompatibility of heart and kidney,and the significantly reduced the proportion of liver-fire syndrome and phlegm-fire syndrome.There was no correlation between different age,gender and surgical methods and the distribution of TCM(P≥0.05).Conclusion:After chemotherapy,the quality of life of osteosarcoma patients is at a low level.Patients generally have anxiety,depression,negative emotions and sleep disorders.The number of chemotherapy,recurrence and metastasis,anxiety and insomnia significantly affect the quality of life of patients.The less the number of chemotherapy,recurrence and metastasis,the more severe insomnia,the more severe anxiety,the lower the overall quality of life.The distribution of TCM syndrome types of insomnia in osteosarcoma patients after chemotherapy is mainly deficiency syndrome.Different times of chemotherapy will affect the distribution of TCM syndrome types.
