Objective:Collect data by issuing clinical alarm management behavior and intention questionnaire among critical care nurses, analyze the current status and influencing factors of intensive care unit nurses’ clinical alarm management behavior intentions, construct a model of intensive care unit nurses’ clinical alarm management behavior intentions, discuss the relationship between the dimensions and the influence of each dimension on the behavior intention of alarm management and provide a scientific basis for the formulation of intervention strategies to improve clinical alarm management behavior.Methods:445 nurses in the intensive care unit of a tertiary hospital in Changchun were selected as the research objects, and the clinical alarm management behavior and intention questionnaire among critical care nurses was used as a measurement tool, the status of nurses’ clinical alarm management was investigated from four aspects: attitude toward the behavior, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, and behavior intention.IBM SPSS Statistics24.0 software was used for descriptive statistical analysis and single factor analysis, and AMOS 24.0 software was used for structural equation model analysis.Results:1.The 445 intensive care unit nurses had an average score of(4.21±0.73)on the behavior intention questionnaire for clinical alarm management. The scores of each dimension were attitude toward the behavior(4.35±0.79),behavior intention(4.28±0.84),and subjective norms(4.22±0.83).perceived behavior control(3.94±0.87).Single factor analysis showed that the scores of clinical alarm management behavior and intention questionnaire among critical care nurses were different in terms of education, working years, whether they had received clinical alarm-related training, and whether they had the habit of setting medical alarm, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The intensive care nurses’ clinical alarm management behavior intention model contains 4 latent variables,20 observed variables, and 21 error variation items. The model has a degree of freedom of 150,and the model can be identified.Model fit index:CMIN/DF=2.830,RMSEA=0.064,GFI=0.914,NLI=0.964,IFI=0.976,the model had a good fit.3.Attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control all have positive predictive effects on alarm management behavioral intentions, with effect values of 0.247,0.490,and 0.213,respectively(P<0.01).Conclusion:Based on the questionnaire survey, nurses had strong alarm management behavioral intentions.Among them, highest score for attitude toward the behavior, and the rest were behavioral intentions, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control in order.Single factor analysis showed that educational background, whether or not they have received clinical alarm-related training, and whether they have the habit of setting up medical alarms are the influencing factors of the behavior intention of nurses in intensive care unit. The clinical alarm management behavior intention model of nurses in intensive care unit showed that the degree of influence of the latent variables of external factors on the behavior intention was subjective norm, attitudes toward the behavior and perceived behavior control in descending order. |
