| At present,China is facing an extremely serious problem, that is,the aging of population.China is a country with a large population, accounting for more than 1 / 5of the world’s population. The acceleration of aging, the reduction of fertility rate and the continuous extension of human life have had a significant impact on China’s economic and social development, and seriously hindered the pace of China’s social development.Due to the influence of family planning policy and economic pressure, the number of children has been greatly reduced, and the elderly are facing the dual pressure of economy and care. Therefore,it is urgent for our country to carry out research on long-term care insurance system. In the context of the accelerating growth of population aging, how to ensure the health level of the elderly is a huge challenge for China. In this paper, the use of literature, qualitative and quantitative method and triple difference model(DDD)to fully explore the development of long-term care insurance system under socialism with Chinese characteristics,to dialectically criticize and learn from the experience of foreign long-term care insurance,in order to promote the healthy development of China’s long-term care insurance system,so as to effectively solve the problem of aging in China.Based on the panel data of the third phase of China Health and pension tracking survey(Charls),this paper studies the impact of long-term care insurance system on the physical and mental health of middle-aged and elderly people through descriptive statistical analysis and triple difference model(DDD).First of all, through the literature review,we know that there are some problems in the implementation of long-term care insurance in China, such as narrow coverage, relying on institutional pension and single financing channel.Secondly, the empirical results of triple difference show that the implementation of long-term care insurance policy will increase the scores of self-rated health and life attitude of the elderly group by 0.22 and 0.13 respectively. At the same time, the implementation of long-term care insurance system makes the elderly full of optimistic and positive attitude towards life, thus ensuring the physical and mental health of the elderly group to a certain extent. From the perspective of time effect,it is found that the long-term care insurance policy has a time lag effect on the physical and mental health of the elderly.Based on the literature research and empirical analysis, this paper provides some suggestions for the development of long-term care insurance system: China should broaden the financing channels, increase the coverage of the population, adopt flexible nursing mode and other measures to continue to improve the long-term care insurance system in China. The empirical results are based on the robustness analysis, which has a good reference value for the follow-up study of long-term care insurance system. |
