| ObjectiveThis study aims to describe the status quo and influencing factors of self-regulatory fatigue,self-efficacy and self-management behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes. To analyze the correlation among self-regulatory fatigue,self-efficacy and self-management behaviors.Establish the structural equation model to test the mediating role of self-efficacy between self-regulatory fatigue and self-management behaviors. To provide the corresponding reference basis for improving patients’self-management behaviors.MethodsThis is a descriptive study, using a cross-sectional survey design, the convenient sampling method was used to collect the samples from the endocrinology departments of three Grade Ⅲ-A hospitals in Jinan from July 2020 to November 2020.The research tools included the general information questionnaire,Self-Regulatory Fatigue Scale(SRF-S),Self-Efficacy for Diabetes(SED)and Diabetes Self-Care Scale(DSCS).Data analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0.Results1.The overall average score of self-regulatory fatigue in patients with type 2 diabetes was(41.56±8.72).Among them, the average score of cognitive dimension items were(2.75±0.76),the average score of behavioral dimension items were(2.42±0.72),the average score of emotional dimension items were(2.60±0.70).The analysis of the influencing factors of self-regulatory fatigue in type 2 diabetes patients showed that:education level.hospitalization and family per capita monthly income could jointly explained 9.0%variation of self-regulatory fatigue2.The overall average score of self-efficacy in patients with type 2 diabetes was(27.46±6.54).Among them, the average score of dietary efficiency dimension items were(2.99±1.12),the average score of exercise efficiency dimension items were(3.27±0.92),the average score of blood glucose management efficiency dimension items were(3.04±0.99),the average score of disease control efficiency dimension items were(2.98±1.09).The analysis of the influencing factors of self-efficacy in type 2 diabetes patients showed that:education level could explained 7.5%variation of self-efficacy.3.The overall average score of self-management behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes was(83.93±16.37).Among them, the average score of dietary control dimension items were(3.07±0.82),the average score of regular exercise dimension items were(3.02±1.17),the average score of prescribed medication dimension items were(4.17±0.87),the average score of blood glucose monitoring dimension items were(2.76±1.04),the average score of foot nursing dimension items were(3.38±0.88),the average score of blood glucose management dimension items were(3.23±0.89).The analysis of the influencing factors of self-management behaviors in type 2 diabetes patients showed that:education level, gender, have or not have a glucometer, smoking status could jointly explained 8.8%variation of self-management behaviors.4.Correlation analysis showed that:self-regulatory fatigue has a negatively correlated with self-efficacy and self-management behaviors(r=-0.551,P<0.001;r=-0.511,P<0.001),self-efficacy has a positively correlated with self-management behaviors(r=0.559,P<0.001).5.Structural equation model analysis results show that:self-regulatory fatigue could negatively predict self-management behaviors, and the standardized path coefficient was-0.349(P<0.001),self-regulatory fatigue could negatively predict self-efficacy,and the standardized path coefficient was-0.680(P<0.001),self-efficacy could positively predict self-management behaviors, and the standardized path coefficient was 0.378(P<0.001).Self-efficacy played a partial mediating role in the relationship between self-regulatory fatigue and self-management behaviors, its mediated effect value was 42.41%.Conclusions1.Patients with type 2 diabetes had different degrees of self-regulatory fatigue.Education level, hospitalization and family per capita monthly income were the influencing factors of self-regulatory fatigue.2.The overall self-efficacy of patients with type 2 diabetes was at a moderate level.Education level was the influencing factor of self-efficacy.3.The overall self-management behaviors of patients with type 2 diabetes was in the lower middle level.Education level, gender, have or not have a glucometer and smoking status were the influencing factors of self-management behaviors.4.There was a correlation between self-regulatory fatigue,self-efficacy and self-management behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes5.Self-efficacy in patients with type 2 diabetes played a partially mediating role between self-regulatory fatigue and self-management behaviors. |
