Self-Healing With Fabric-Feasibility Analysis Of Fiber Art For Alleviating Mental Illness

Fiber art,originated from life,is the art closest to people.Fabric is called "the second skin" because of its own softness,naturalness and daily characteristics.Fabric is not only a traditional warp and weft fabric,but also a concrete and abstract one,such as thinking,emotion,language and other metaphorical content.Fabric is not only a healing material with soft properties,but also an art way to heal artists’ psychological trauma.This paper discusses the healing function of fiber art from the characteristics of "fabric" carrier and fabric expression language.The first chapter mainly summarizes the relationship between human instinct perception and fabric,and explains why fabric is a special "healing" carrier.The second chapter elaborates the expression language of the fabric from various angles,and analyzes that the fabric language,as a way of "healing",has become the sustenance of carrying spirit and emotion.In the third chapter,the author discusses many artists of mental illness who come from my "healing" by fiber creation,and analyzes how the artists heal themselves by fabric through their works.
