| Objective:To evaluate the advantages between the treatment of Tanreqing injection combined with conventional western medicine and the treatment of western medicine alone in the patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).The observation group and the control group were set based on the method of Propensity score matching. Then,I would analyze the white blood cell count, neutrophil count, neutrophil percentage,CRP,PCT,oxygen pressure, carbon dioxide pressure, the average hospitalization day and read-admission rate within 1 month to evaluate the advantages of Tanreqing injection over conventional treatment. Methods: A total of 562 patients who were acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, were selected from 2014-09-01 to 2019-11-01 that were hospitalized in Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital. The patients were divided into observation group(80cases)and control group(482 cases)according to whether Tanreqing injection was added or not.The two groups were matched by the Propensity score matching method. The nearest neighbor matching method was adopted in the propensity score matching. The ratio of 1:1 and the caliper value was 0.03.Before the match. The two groups were statistically significant in terms of gender, age, smoking time, antibiotic selection and the using of glucocorticoid. After the Propensity score matching, there was no statistical significance in the comparison of the clinical characteristics between the groups.A total of 118 people(59/group)were included in the research. Then the differences in infection-related indicators, arterial blood gas analysis, and the average hospitalization day were compared. The results: 1.Inflammatory indicators: compared with the time before treatments in two groups, the white blood cell count, neutrophil count, neutrophil percentage,CRP,PCT were all decreased after treatment,,which was statistically significant(p<0.05).The improvement of white blood cell count, neutrophil count, neutrophil percentage and CRP in the treatment group was better than it in the observation group, showing statistical significance(p<0.05).But there was no obvious advantage in the treatment group compared with the observation group PCT(p>0.05).2.arterial blood gas analysis:compared with the time before treatments, oxygen pressure and carbon dioxide pressure both improved in both groups, showing statistical significance(p<0.05).Between the two groups, oxygen pressure and carbon dioxide pressure in the treatment group was better than that in the observation group after treatment, showing statistical significance(p<0.05).3.the average hospitalization day:The control group was shorter than the observation group.the length of stay in the observation group improved statistically(p < 0.05).4.In terms of readmission rate within 1 month, there was no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05).Conclusion: Tanreqing injection combined with western medicine in the treatment of AECOPD has advantages in the changes of white blood cell count, neutrophil count, neutrophil percentage,CRP,partial oxygen pressure, partial carbon dioxide pressure, ahe average hospitalization day and so on.In the comparison of PCT and readmission rate within 1 month, the treatment with Tanreqing injection had no obvious advantage over conventional western medicine treatment alone. |
