Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and related influencing factors of hypertension among adolescents in Nanning middle school. Methods This study takes the 886 students, studying at Nanning No.3 High School Wuxiang Campus and Nanning No.14 High School from January to June in 2019,as the research object, collects their demographic characteristics information in form of questionnaire survey, and conducts on-site examination to obtain body measurements, including height, weight,BMI,heart rate, waist height ratio, waist circumference and skinfold, and biochemical indexes, including uric acid, total cholesterol,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c).Count data are expressed as percentages and verified by chi-square test for group comparison;Measurement data are expressed as medians(P25,P75)and verified by Kruskal-Wallis H test for group comparison.Multivariate analysis adopts ordered Logistic regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results1.The initial detection rate of hypertension for the 886 11-14 years old adolescents is 14.4%(128/886),15.4%(73/466)for boys and 13.1%(55/420)for girls. The initial detection rate of high normal blood pressure is 16.9%(150/886).The detection rate of obesity is 14.3% and overweight rate 16.9%.The detection rate of simple systolic hypertension is 3.39%,and simple diastolic hypertension,4.74%.2.The distributional differences of height, weight,BMI,heart rate,WHt R,waistline, skinfold thickness,UA and triglyceride among hypertension group, high normal blood pressure group and normal blood pressure group have statistical significance(P<0.05).The detection rate of hypertension in the obesity group is higher than that in the normal high blood pressure group(P<0.05)and that in the normal blood pressure group. The detection rate of hypertension with abdominal circumference greater than P90 and the detection rate of high normal blood pressure are higher than that of normal blood pressure(P<0.05).The detection rates of central obesity and high normal blood pressure are higher than that of normal blood pressure(P<0.05).The detection rate of high normal blood pressure in the high UA group is higher than that in the normal blood pressure group(P<0.05).The detection rate of hypertriglyceridemia hypertension is higher than that of normal blood triglyceride group(P<0.05).3.In multivariate Logistic regression analysis, obesity(OR = 5.73,95%CI3.27 ~ 10.03)and overweight(OR = 2.33,95%CI1.54 ~ 3.52)are positively correlated with hypertension. The multiple linear regression analysis of systolic blood pressure shows a linear relationship between BMI and systolic blood pressure(P<0.05),in which BMI is positively correlated with the increase of systolic blood pressure. The multiple linear regression analysis of diastolic blood pressure shows a linear relationship between BMI and diastolic blood pressure(P<0.05)and a positive correlation with increased diastolic blood pressure.Conclusions1.This study indicates that the initial detection rate of hypertension of children and adolescents in Nanning is 14.4%,and the first detection rate of normal high-value blood pressure is 16.9%.The detection rate of hypertension is15.4% for boys and 13.1% for girls.2.Obesity and overweight may be independent risk factors for hypertension.3.Increased BMI may be an influential factor for elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
