| Objective:To explore the relationship between the ratio of neutrophils to lymphocytes(neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio,NLR)and essential hypertension in Korean and Han nationality,to provide a reference basis for the prevention and treatment of hypertension in this area. Methods:A total of 227 patients with essential hypertension were collected from August 2019 to December 2019 in the Department of physical examination of the affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University, including 102 cases of Korean nationality and 125 cases of Han nationality;Another 255 healthy subjects were collected as a control group, including 124 cases of Korean nationality and 131 cases of Han nationality. The general data and laboratory results of each group were recorded, including routine blood parameters and biochemical indexes(fasting blood glucose, blood lipids, liver function, and kidney function). The inflammatory index NLR was calculated from the results of the routine blood test,to compare and analyze the relationship between the NLR value and the incidence of essential hypertension in the two ethnic groups.Results:1.The levels of TG,TP,WBC,RBC,HGB,HCT,NeuC,MONO,PLT,and NLR in the Korean nationality hypertensive group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group(all P<0.05).2.The values of BMI,FBG,TC,TG,LDL-C,and TP in the hypertension group of Han nationality were higher than those in the healthy control group, while the value of BUN was lower than that in the healthy control group, the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in NLR.3.The average age of Korean hypertension group(60.72 ± 10.39 vs 53.78±11.00)and PLT(248.44±62,00 vs 231.85±55.29)were significantly higher than those of Han hypertension group(all P<0.05).4.In the Korean group,NLR was positively correlated with DBP,WBC,RBC,HGB,HCT,and NeuC,but negatively correlated with ALB and LymC(all P<0.05).5.In the Han group,NLR was negatively correlated with BMI,FBG,TG,CREA,UA,WBC,RBC,HGB,HCT,MCV,LymC,MONO,PDW and MPV,and positively correlated with PLT(all P<0.05),but did not correlate with SBP and DBP.6.The risk factors of hypertension in Korean nationality were NLR(OR=1.687),HGB(OR=1.030),PLT(OR=1.006),and MONO(OR=5.385)(all P<0.05).7.The risk factors of hypertension in Han nationality were FBG(OR=3.335),LDL-C(OR=1.518),and TP(OR=1.070)(all P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The level of DBP in Korean nationality is also increased, and so is NLR,NLR is the risk factor of essential hypertension in Korean nationality.2.There is no correlation between essential hypertension and NLR in Han nationality. |
