Clinical1 Application Of Botulinum Toxin A Injection In Facial Contour

Objective:To study the clinical effect of botulinum toxin A injection in facial contour.Methods:From January 2019 to January 2020,collected 32 patients who require facial contour improvement in plastic surgery of Yanbian university subsidiary hospital.Botulinum toxin A was injected into the masseter muscle in the mandibular angle and parotid gland in the anterior and inferior auricular area.The results of Botulinum toxin A injection were evaluated by measure the facial ratio,angle between mandible,imaging changes and facial beauty questionnaire.Standardized shooting,through Photoshop to rectify,trim and protect personal privacy of the input pictures.After compare the actual measurement and correction of the trimmed virtual mesh,the actual units of O1 and O2(the length of the center point of eyebrow arch and submental point on both sides)were converted into image length units by digimzer and camera measure software,and measure the measurement values of face(in mm)and jaw angle(in°)before and after image injection.Result:(1)There was no statistical significance in the difference of 32 patients before and after injection of O1O2/A1A2(P>0.05),The differences of B1B2/A1A2,C1C2/A1A2 and C3C4/A1A2 before and after injection were statistically significant(P<0.05),B1B2/AIA2 from 0.934±0.025 before treatment to 0.911±0.025 2 months after treatment;C1C2/Ai A2 from 0.806±0.042 before treatment to 0.769±0.043 2 months after treatment;C3C4/A1A2 from 0.880±0.048 before treatment to 0.816±0.043 2 months after treatment.(2)The difference between before and after injection of mandibular angle was statistically significant(P<0.05),The angle of mandible increased 9°on average 2 months after injection.(3)The difference of thickness of left and right parotid gland before and after injection measured by ultrasound was statistically significant(P<0.05),The right parotid gland was measured by ultrasound from 1.751 ±0.071cm before injection to 1.584±0.077cm 2 months after injection;The left parotid gland chan ged from 1.739±0.066cm before injection to 1.567±0.068cm 2 months after injection.(4)The difference of the thickness of the left and right masseter muscles before and after injection measured by ultrasound was statistically significant(P<0.05),The right masseter muscle was measured by ultrasound from 1.521±0.132cm before injection to 1.251 ±0.134cm 2 months after injection.The left masseter muscle changed from 1.5± 0.119cm before injection to 1.225 ± 0.111 cm 2 months after injection.(5)The results of the global aesthetic enhancement scale showed that 17 cases were completely improved,14 cases were significantly improved,1 case was slightly improved,and there was no deterioration or invalid patients.Conclusion:Botulinum toxin A is a very effective non-surgical treatment,it can reduce the width and shape of the lower part and mandible line.The combined injection of masseter muscle and parotid gland can reshape the contour and achieve a better appearance.The photos before and after the injection showed that compare with the contour before the injection,the masseter muscle bulge is significantly reduce,and the facial width of the anterior ear area is significantly reduce.Almost all the patients are satisfied with the therapeutic effect during the follow-up.Botulinum toxin A injection provides a more safe and significant treatment for facial contour improvement.
