ObjectiveDiscuss the bio-functional prosthetic system(BPS)in the clinical applications.MethodsForty nine edentulous patients who were first treated with complete denture from May 2017 to may 2018 in Shenyang Ao Xin national dental hospital were randomly divided into two groups(single blind method, without informing the patients of the particularity of the method): the traditional method group and the BPS method group,in which the traditional method was used In the BPS group, the biological functional removable denture system was used. The patients are required to have no systemic and mental diseases that affect the wearing of complete denture,no disorders of temporomandibular joint, and no complete denture repair.Three months after the restoration, the masticatory efficiency was measured.Record and count the follow-up of each patient half a year after the repair. The mean rate of follow-up in BPS group and traditional method group was calculated in five aspects: foreign body sensation or nausea, dysphonia, local pain, poor retention stability and occlusal disturbance. The manufacture and follow-up of dentures are all completed by the same doctor and senior technician to ensure the objectivity and comparability of the results.ResultsAfter three months of complete denture restoration, the absorbance value of the modified BPS group was higher than that of the traditional denture group, and the difference was statistically significant(t = 14.89,P = 0.000).It can be concluded that the masticatory efficiency of the modified BPS group was higher than that of the traditional denture.Within half a year after complete denture repair, the per capita re diagnosis rate of modified BPS denture group was lower than that of traditional denture group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(z =-0.135,P = 0.893);within half a year after complete denture repair, the per capita re diagnosis rate of modified BPS denture group was lower than that of traditional denture group, but the number of the two groups was lower There was no significant difference between the two groups(z =-0.745,P = 0.456);the per capita re diagnosis rate of modified BPS denture group was lower than that of traditional denture group in half a year after complete denture repair due to local pain, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(z =-2.167,P = 0.030);the re diagnosis rate of modified BPS denture group in half a year after complete denture repair due to poor retention stability The results showed that the rate of re diagnosis of BPS group was lower than that of traditional denture group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(z =-2.131,P = 0.033);the rate of re diagnosis of BPS group was lower than that of traditional denture group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(z =-2.913,P = 0.004);In addition, within half a year of complete denture restoration, the average rate of follow-up in the modified BPS denture group was significantly lower than that in the traditional denture group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(z =-4.566,P = 0.000).ConclusionsApplication of the improved BPS legal system for the retention of complete denture stability effect is good,it is beneficial for patients to restore the function of chewing, small amount of occlusal adjustment and little influence on the temporomandibular joint, wearing comfort,at the same time decrease The Times of follow-up for patients is denture repair ideal choice. But its clinical operation and lab production time is relatively long,in the later application process still needs further improvement.
