Abstract/Summary:
BackgroundChronic wounds pose a huge economic and medical burden to patients and society.Platelet-rich plasma therapy has obvious advantages over traditional dressing change therapy. However, the current clinical data is not sufficient, and the preparation procedures and application methods of PRP are not uniform and standardized.ObjectiveTo compare the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma and traditional iodophor gauze dressing in the treatment of chronic wounds,so as to provide theoretical and clinical evidence for the treatment of chronic wounds, and make the preparation and application of PRP more standardized.MethodsPatients with chronic wounds admitted to the surgical outpatient department of the first Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical Univercity from January 2018 to June 2020 as the primary screening subjects.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,84 eligible patients were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups for inclusion in the study.Among them, there were 42 patients in the experimental group(platelet rich plasma therapy)and 42 patients in the control group(iodoform gauze dressing change therapy). Two groups of patients were treated for 2 weeks, and 84 cases were finally completed the experiment, including 42 cases in the experimental group and 42 cases in the control group.Contrastive analysis was carried out in terms of treatment process, observation indicators and adverse reactions.Results1.There is no statistically significant difference in general information between the two groups,P>0.05,indicating that they are comparable.2.Two weeks later, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 90.48% and that of the control group was 78.57%.After statistical analysis, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Both treatment methods have achieved good curative effects. In terms of total effective rate, cure rate and significant efficiency,PRP therapy shows advantages, and the number of ineffective cases is less than that of the control group.3.After 2 weeks of treatment, the appearance time of granulation tissue in the experimental group was(4.15±1.36)days,and the time of granulation tissue appearance in the control group was(6.82±1.68)days,P < 0.05.The wound healing time of the experimental group was(11.54±3.28)days,and the wound healing time of the control group was(17.58±4.18)days,P<0.05.After treatment, the experimental group can obtain faster granulation tissue appearance and wound healing time, which significantly promotes wound healing.4.There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups of cases.ConclusionCompared with the Iodoform gauze dressing method,PRP can significantly promote the healing of chronic wounds.
