Backgroud : With the continuous improvement of China’s living standard, the number of obese patients in China is gradually increasing.According to relevant reports,China now ranks the first in the world in terms of obese population, with 43.2 million obese men and 46.4 million obese women, accounting for 16.3 percent and 12.4 percent of the world respectively. As a restrictive weight-loss surgery, sleeve gastrectomy has attracted more and more attention of surgeons in clinical practice because of its advantages such as relatively simple operation,no change in the physiological structure of the patient’s digestive tract, and clear weight loss effect.Compliance, also known as compliance, refers to the patient’s behavior of treating according to the doctor’s regulations and consistent with the doctor’s advice, namely the degree to which the patient complies with the treatment plan.It is generally believed that in the process of disease diagnosis and treatment, patients with good compliance is often the guarantee of curative effect. However,no studies have been reported on the correlation between weight loss and compliance in morbidly obese patients after sleeve gastrectomy. Objective:To analyze and evaluate the relationship between weight loss and compliance in morbidly obese patients after LSG.Methods:The clinical data of morbidly obese patients who underwent LSG surgery in our hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, and postoperative follow-up was performed to observe and compare the preoperative and postoperative weight and BMI,EWL% and patient compliance. Results:A total of 77 patients undergoing LSG surgery were counted in this study. All patients successfully performed laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy without serious complications.55 cases were successfully followed up(follow-up rate 71.43%);With the extension of time, the proportion of patients with good compliance decreased significantly(P<0.05);at 6 and 12 months, the EWL% index of the good compliance group was significantly higher than that of the poor compliance group(all P<0.05).Conclusion:LSG is a safe and effective bariatric surgery. The short-term(≤12 months)effect of treating morbid obesity is significant, the weight loss effect of patients with good compliance is significantly better than that of patients with poor compliance, suggesting the need to improve patient compliance to ensure long-term treatment effects.
