Objective:Meta analysis was used to compare the clinical efficacy and safety differences between proximal fibula osteotomy and high tibial osteotomy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods:Search the The Cochrane library,Pub Med,EMBASE,CNKI,Wanfang,Weipu and other databases. The search period is set as the beginning of the establishment of each database and ends in February 2021.The literature is carefully screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria and its quality is evaluated.Extract the required data, and then use Rev Man5.3 software to enter the data for Meta analysis. Results:Twenty articles that met the criteria were retrieved, including 1313 patients with knee osteoarthritis. These articles were included in the study for Meta analysis. The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between high tibial osteotomy and proximal fibula osteotomy in terms of postoperative complications, knee joint function, and tibiofemoral angle improvement;while the operation time(minutes)),intraoperative blood loss(ml),hospitalization time(days)and hospitalization expenses(ten thousand yuan),the proximal fibula osteotomy group was less than the tibia high osteotomy group. Conclusion:In terms of operation time(minutes),intraoperative blood loss(ml),hospitalization time(days),and hospitalization expenses(ten thousand yuan),the proximal fibula osteotomy group was less than the tibial high osteotomy group. However, the promotion time of proximal fibula osteotomy is relatively short, and its long-term efficacy and side effects are not clear. Therefore, the choice of the two surgical methods should be cautious, and the patient’s condition and economic situation should be fully considered.
