Green Grass Selection In Qingshuihu Golf Course

In this paper,through the selection of different turf varieties to build golf green,the green appearance quality,turf quality and ecological quality related indicators were monitored and tested.Considering the quality requirements of green turf,the best green grass species was selected on the basis of determining the comprehensive evaluation system of green lawn.The results are as follows:Biological characteristics:penna-1,penna-4 and alpha belong to the type of low plant,thin leaf,moderate basal node,and the green performance is the best.Appearance quality:the green grass species with the best color performance is seashore paspalum platinum;the green grass species with the best density performance is the creeping bentgrass penna-4(10.35 branches/cm~2);the green grass species with the best coverage performance is paspalum costatum(92.50%);the green grass species with the best texture performance is the creeping bentgrass alpha;the green uniformity performance of creeping bentgrass penna-4 is the best.Turf quality:the fastest green grass species is seashore paspalum planum(7.7 feet);the green grass species with the best smoothness is penna-4(7.74);the green hardness of seashore paspalum is the best;penna-4(2.76)is the best one in terms of the thickness of green branches;and the grass species with the strongest recovery ability is paspalum littoralis(77.29%))。Ecological quality:the green heat resistance of creeping bentgrass penna-4 was stronger than that of the other two creeping bentgrass varieties.The longest green period of green grass species is seashore paspalum platinum,its green period reaches 276 days,and the shortest green period of creeping bentgrass alpha is 259D;the highest incidence index of green grass is creeping bentgrass alpha;the highest lawn strength is seashore paspalum platinum(816g/m~2).According to the comprehensive evaluation of the tested grass species,the best green performance grass species is seashore paspalum platinum,which has great advantages in color,coverage,green speed,green hardness,heat resistance,green period and other indicators.
