| The hog breeding industry occupies an important position in the development of China’s agriculture economy.With the transformation of the nutritional structure and the adjustment of the meat consumption structure,the consumption of pork has grown rapidly,and its importance in the dietary consumption of residents has continued to increase.At the same time as the pork breeding industry continues to develop,the production layout also tends to be centralized and regionalized,and it has profoundly affected the horizontal transmission of pork market prices.Under the current background of the country’s promotion of "supply-side reforms" in agriculture,postgraduate pig regional adjustment and integration of the pork market has important practical significance,and it also has certain reference significance for the formulation of related policies and the regulation of the pig market.Based on an in-depth analysis of the regionalization and centralization of hog farming and its impact on the integration of the hog market,the national and provincial levels of pork-related price data from January 1993 to April 2019 were used to explore the hog market The mechanism and characteristics of horizontal price transmission,and the empirical test of the effect of the concentration of pig production on the integration of China’s pig production and marketing market.The empirical results show that in the horizontal price transmission research,the long-term and short-term interaction between regional market prices is significant,and the price system has a significant self-correction mechanism.In the short term,the price fluctuations of the main production area and the main sales area will fluctuate during the current and lag period.Significantly affect the counterparty market,but there is a certain lag in price transmission in the regional market,and the effect of lagging prices has gradually weakened.Judging from the results of matching the production and sales in multiple places,price fluctuations in the main production areas will cause significant price adjustments in the main sales areas,and the other way round will be less significant.And the price transmission speed of the main producing area is significantly higher than that of the main selling place.The side reflects the asymmetry of price transmission between regions.The high regional concentration of production not only promotes market integration,but also brings the disadvantage of asymmetric space price transmission.The effect of short-term integration of production and sales regional markets is not as good as long-term integration.In the study of the impact of regionalization of production on the integration of the hog industry market,this paper finds that the concentration of hog production regions has a significant promotion effect on the level of spatial price integration of production and sales markets.Impact of time trends.The level of regional economic development has a significant positive effect on the integration of the hog market The higher the per capita income,the greater the demand for pork by residents,the greater the number of externally sourced pork in the production area required by the main market,and the price linkage between the production and sales market..Stronger.The results of pairwise matching regression also showed that the influence of per capita pork production in the main producing areas on the degree of integration of the pig market was also significantly positive.At the same time,improvements in infrastructure such as transportation conditions can also effectively increase the transmission of price information between markets.The robustness test results show that the coefficients of the core variables are significantly positive,further supporting the model results.As some problems in the process of price transmission hinder the further development of the pig industry,based on the analysis of relevant issues and reasons in accordance with the actual situation,this article proposes to strengthen the construction of the industry information platform,improve the pig supervision system,and strengthen the pig breeding technology.Support,promote the industrialized operation of pigs,give play to the role of the market to adjust prices,optimize the slaughtering and transportation methods of policies and other suggestions,with a view to solving related problems and formulating relevant policies to provide meaningful references to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the pig industry in China. |
