| The crop seeds treated with seed coatings play an important role in production.This paper used two varieties(Xiang Nongyu 27,Zhengdan 958)and different seed coatings(WFYM-1,WFYM-2,Gao Qiao,Ding Miaoxin,Gao Qiao + Ding Miaoxin)as materials.A randomized field trial in the field to explore the effects of different seed coatings on physiological and biochemical,yield and quality of summer maize in Hunan.Below were key research findings:1.Seed coating treatment could improve the emergence rate of maize and shorten the growth period:The emergence rate under different seed coating treatments was higher than that of the two controls in 2018 and 2019.The two seed coatings,WFYM-2 and Gao Qiao+Ding Miaoxin were better;The growth period under different seed coating treatments was shorter than the control for two-three days.2.Seed coating treatment could enhance the resistance of maize at the four-leaf stage:Compared with the control,WFYM-1 and Gaoqiao + Ding Miaoxin reduce the malondialdehyde content of maize leaf;WFYM-1 and Ding Miaoxin can enhance the POD vigour of maize leaf;Gao Qiao + Ding Miaoxin could increase the soluble sugar content of maize leaf;WFYM-1 and WFYM-2 could increase the chlorophyll and carotenoids content of maize leaf.3.The seed coating treatment had certain influence on the growth and development characteristics of maize: Gao Qiao and WFYM-1 could adjust the stem length;WFYM-1 and WFYM-2 could improve the dry matter weight of per plant,leaf area index,and nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium content of maize leaves and grains of Xiang Nongyu 27 and Zhengdan 958;WFYM-2 and Ding Miaoxin could increase the photosynthetic potential produced in the growth and development stage of maize;4.The seed coating treatment had certain influence on the photosynthetic characteristics of maize: The SPAD value of maize treated with seed coating was higher than that of its control;under the seed coating treatment,at the six-leaf stage,the average values of Pn and Tr of Xiang Nongyu 27 were higher than the control,and the average values of Gs and Ci were lower than the control.The average values of Pn,Gs and Tr of Zhengdan 958 were higher than those of the control,and the average value of Ci was lower than the control.During the jointing stage,the average values of Pn and Gs of Xiang Nongyu 27 were lower than the control,and the average values of Ci and Tr were higher than those of the control.The average values of Pn,Gs,Ci and Tr of Zhengdan 958 were all higher than those of the control.During the tasseling period,the average values of Pn and Tr of Xiang Nongyu 27 were higher than those of the control,and the average values of Gs and Ci were lower than those of the control.The average Pn of Zhengdan 958 was lower than that of the control,and the average values of Gs,Ci and Tr were higher than the control.5.The seed coating treatment had certain influence on yield and quality of maize.WFYM-1,WFYM-2 and Gao Qiao + Ding Miaoxin could indirectly improve yield traits and grain quality and increase yield through their influence on maize of growth.6.WFYM-2 was the best comprehensive trait,then was WFYM-1,Gao Qiao + Ding Miaoxin. |
