| In recent years,herbaceous peony(Paeonia lactiflora Pall.)is in the ascendant as be cultivated for cutting,and it has become more important in modern cut flower production.In this study,a total of 101 herbaceous peony cultivars introduced from the Netherlands and Heze,Shandong were planted in Yangling,Shaanxi,and we systematically observed their adaptability and performance under the conditions of field-cultivating growth in Guanzhong area;We also evaluated the sensitivity of different herbaceous peony cultivars to ethylene;At the same time,three phytohormones of GA3,IBA,and 6-BA,three germicides of Alum,8-HQ,and GO,three organic acids of ASA,CA,and SA,and three inorganic salts of Ca Cl2,Na Cl,and KCl were studied about the fresh-keeping effects and theory of cut herbaceous peony flower‘Xiao Ou’.Aims to provide more cultivars and preservation technology supporting for the production and development of cut herbaceous peony flowers in Guanzhong,Shaanxi.The relevant results are summarized as follows::1.Growth adaptability of introduced herbaceous peony cultivarsDepending on the literature,there are 15 indexes were selected,including flowering days,flower size,petal quality,flowering rate,floral fragrance,plant height,crown diameter,leaf quality,leaf color,stem erectness,budding percentage,bud number per plant,growth condition,plant survival ratio,diseases and pests,while determined the scoring standard of the indexes respectively.We use Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP)method to evaluate the quality-level-weights of each index,and finaly we obtained the comprehensive rating value of each cultivar.There are 51 cultivars can be exploited,and that 47 of them introduced from Heze of Shandong Province,the other 4 cultivars introduced from the Netherlands.2.The sensitivity of different cultivars of herbaceous peony to ethylene48 cultivars were screened for ethylene sensitivity testing.The results showed that 46cultivars were sensitive to ethylene,and only the three of‘Lian Tai’and‘Wu Hua Long Yu’were not sensitive to ethylene.3.Effects of different fresh-keeping agents on the senescence of cut herbaceous peony flowers‘Xiao Ou’The 4 types of preservatives is respectively,hytohormones,germicides,organic acids,inorganic salts,among these four,150 mg/L GA3,10 mg/L GO,150 mg/L CA,and 1000 mg/L Ca Cl2 made the blooming days of cut herbaceous peony flowers up to 4.2,4.3,3.2,and 4.1,respectively.GA3,GO,and CA were further selected for response surface assay,revealing that the optimal theoretical concentration of each component was 109.29 mg/L,7.39 mg/L,and 93.79 mg/L,respectively,the combination of these three agents actually led to a blooming time of 5.6 days;The cultivar Xiao ou was sensitive to 25-75 mg/L ETH,and the treatment with ethylene inhibitor STS can effectively extend the flowering days;After the addition of STS,the optimized fresh-keeping agent combination was:109.29 mg/L GA3+7.39 mg/L GO+93.79 mg/L CA+0.463 mmol/L STS,the optimized combination increased relative water content,Spro content,and SOD activity,but reduced the accumulation of Fpro and MDA in petals,which caused a blooming time of 6.4 days.4.The preservation mechanism of the preservative combination on the cut herbaceous peony flower‘Xaio ou’The optimized preservative combination increased relative water content,Spro content,and SOD activity,but reduced the accumulation of Fpro and MDA in petals,The vase life of cut flowers can be prolonged by improving the level of internal physiological indicators of cut herbaceous peony flowers. |
