Piglets are prone to appear stress reaction and diarrhea after weaning, which will adversely affect the survival rate of piglets and the economic benefits of livestock farm. The Acer Truncatum contains bioactive substances, which can eliminate oxidative free radicals of the body. This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of fermented Acer truncatum on growth performance and immune function of weaning piglets to solve the problems of low feed intake, slow growth rate and dysbacteriosis after weaning. The experiment was divided into two stages. In the first part,The 30 weaned piglets(25d)were selected and randomly divided into two groups according to the paired test design, namely the control group and the Acer Truncatum group, the test lasted 21 days.In the second experiment, the 20 piglets of average weight 10 kg were selected and divided into the control group and the fermented Acer Truncatum group, the experimental period was 21 days.Through the experiments, which aimed to explore the effect of different forms of Acer Truncatum on growth performance, antioxidant index and intestinal microbial composition of piglets. The main results of this research are as follows:(1)Compared with the control group, diet supplementation with 5% dried Acer Truncatum significantly improved the piglets’ ADG and ADFI in the third week(P < 0.05),and decreased the diarrhea rate of the first week and second week significantly(P > 0.05).(2)The fermented Acer Truncatum significantly improved the ADFI and ADG(P <0.05)of the piglets in the second week, and the ADFI and ADG of the weaned piglets throughout the whole trial(P < 0.05),there was no significant change in the diarrhea rate between the test groups(P > 0.05).(3)Compared with the control group, fermented Acer Truncatum can increase the content of TP,GLO,BUN,T-CHO and TG in the serum of piglets, and the content of AST was observed decreased(P < 0.05);the level of IL-10 in the fermented Acer Truncatum group was significantly increased than the control group(P < 0.05).The addition of fermented Acer Truncatum significantly increased the content of MDA,SOD and CAT in the serum of piglets(P < 0.05).(4)16S r RNA sequencing of fecal microorganisms was performedd in the feces of piglets, the results of microbial Alpha diversity showed that Chao1 index and the Shannon index can be improved by feeding fermented Acer Truncatum.Firmicutes,Bacteroidota,Spirochaetota were the dominant flora in the phylum level, besides, the abundances of Firmicutes,Proteobacteria, and Cyanobacteria were increased in the Acer Truncatum group, the abundance of Lactobacillus and Muribculaceae was increased noticeably in the genus level. In summary, the fermented Acer truncatum can improve the growth performance of weaned piglets and maintained normal diarrhea;the biochemical indicators and immunity of piglets were improved;the fecal microbial flora Structure,Fermented Acer truncatum can change the structure of the fecal microbial flora, increasing the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as lactobacilli, and promoting the healthy development of piglets. This research provides a potential possibility for Acer Truncatum to become piglet feed. |
