Apple(Malus domestica)is the fruit with one of the largest cultivation area and the highest yield in China.The Loess Plateau is the largest dominant apple producing area in China.However,with the intensified winter climate and the increase of spring temperature,the flowering period of apples is advanced,and the probability and degree of freezing injury caused by “inverted spring cold” increasing,which seriously affects the yield and fruit quality of apples.We discussed the effect of agronomic measures(white paint,irrigate,cover straw,cover coconut shell,cover black gardening cloth),plant growth regulator(Abscisic acid and Naphthalene acetic acid)and comprehensive measures to deal with delay apple flowering by using Fuji Apple to avoid late frost damage.At the same time,explored the effect of delayed flowering technology on apple growth and fruit quality.We discussed the effect of spraying different concentrations of abscisic acid(ABA)on apple fruit quality by using Fuji Apple.In order to provide theoretical and technical basis for the regulation of apple flowering period.The main research results are as follows:1.According to the observation of the apple flowering period of ‘Fuji Champion’ in three years,it is found that the overall effect of the treatment in winter is better among the various treatments that delay the initial flowering period.In a comprehensive comparison,the winter comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying 1000 μmol/L abscisic acid is the best measure to delay the flowering period,which can delay the initial flowering period by 4 days.2.In the various treatments for delaying the flowering period of ‘Fuji Champion’,the spring comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying1000 μmol/L abscisic acid can increase the leaf chlorophyll content and the relative water content of the leaves while maintaining the normal growth and development of the fruit tree,which is conducive to improving the drought resistance of the fruit tree.Cover strawin spring and the spring comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying 1000 μmol/L abscisic acid comprehensive treatment significantly reduced the transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of the leaves,and increased the net photosynthetic rate and instantaneous water use efficiency of the leaves.Spraying 1000μmol/L of abscisic acid in spring significantly inhibited the growth of new shoots of fruit trees,and spraying 1000 μmol/L of naphthalene acetic acid increased the fruit setting rate.3.In the various treatments for delaying the flowering period of ‘Fuji Champion’,the winter comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying 1000 μmol/L abscisic acid can improve the internal and external quality of the fruit.Cover straw in spring significantly increased the soluble sugar content of the fruit and reduced the soluble acid content,the winter comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying 1000 μmol/L abscisic acid can both increase the soluble solid content and the solid-acid ratio of the fruit.The winter comprehensive treatment of irrigation and white paint and cover straw and spraying 1000 μmol/L abscisic acid significantly increased a* value,decreased b* value and changed the fruit structure,increased peel ductility,pulp fragility and pulp firmness,and reduced the peel hardness.4.Spraying 600 μmol/L of exogenous abscisic acid during the color conversion period of ‘Nagafu No.2’ apple significantly increased the soluble solids,fructose,glucose,sorbitol content and solid-acid ratio of the fruit,and reduced the sucrose and malic acid content of the fruit.Increase the color of the fruit,make the shape of the fruit more correct,and the internal and external quality of the fruit is more stable.
