| With the application of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in the pet diagnosis and treatment industry, the diagnosis of neurological diseases in dogs and cats has become more accurate. This study collected 176 cases of neurological diseases in dogs and cats from a pet hospital in Beijing from 2020 to 2021,and analyzed the incidence, type and age of brain diseases and spinal cord diseases in dogs and cats in the cases. The relationship between gender and breed,as well as the diagnostic effect of MRI in the diagnosis of neurological diseases in small animals, provide research data and theoretical basis for the application of MRI in the diagnosis of neurological diseases in dogs and cats.Through the analysis of the collected 176 confirmed cases of MRI images,it was found that the number of dogs suffering from neurological diseases was higher than that of cats, with a ratio of 4.03:1.Among the 141 dog cases collected, the high-risk breeds included Poodles(27.1%),Pastoral dogs(12.8%),French bulldogs(11.3%),the age group with high incidence is concentrated in 3-5years old, accounting for 34.8% of the total;among the 35 cat cases collected, the breed with the largest number of cases is pastoral Cats(22.86%),British shorthair cats(22.86%),American shorthair cats(20%),puppet cats(17.1%),the age group with high incidence is concentrated in 1-2 years old, accounting for the total number of cases 40%;in dogs and cats, the incidence of males is higher than that of females, and the incidence of brain diseases is higher than that of spinal cord diseases.Through the MRI diagnostic analysis of several typical neurological diseases in dogs and cats, the data of veterinary MRI imaging has been enriched.MRI technology plays an important role in the diagnosis of organic diseases of the nervous system of small animals and has broad application prospects. |
