The tassel tree,also known as tea tree,turnip flowers,etc.,belong to the Oleaceae tassel plants.Its leaves of the tree can be used as tea.It has great value for development in the Yan Mountains area.It is a beautiful ornamental tree,because its luxuriant flowers and leaves are delicious.Tassel tree is one of the most endangered species in China.It is difficult to reproduce seeds locally.In this paper,the Tassel tree resources in Qinhuangdao were investigated,the morphology,structure,vitality,dormancy and endogenous inhibitors of Tassel seeds were also studied,the effects of mechanical damage treatment,warm water treatment,stratification treatment and Gibberellin treatment on the germination rate of Tassel seeds were studied in order to find out the method to release the dormancy of Tassel seeds.At the same time,in order to understand the dormancy mechanism of tassel seeds,the seeds were mixed with Gibberellin(GA)and stratification(low and variable temperature),the contents of Malondialdehyde(MDA),soluble sugar,starch,crude fat,soluble protein and the changes of Peroxidase(POD)activity in the seeds with different stratification were determined:(1)Tassel seeds are comprehensive dormant seeds.There are inhibitory substances in the seed coat,seed embryo and endosperm of fringed seeds,and its inhibitory effect is embryo> endosperm> seed coat.The presence of inhibitory substances in embryos may be one of the main reasons for the dormancy of tassel seeds.(2)The viability and germination ability of tassel seeds are weak,embryo development is not complete,there is no germ structure,and the characteristics of morphological maturity;tassel seed coat has a mechanical hindrance to seed germination.(3)The conductivity measurement shows that gibberellin can improve the cell membrane structure of tassel seeds and reduce the extravasation of seed nutrients.Through measurement and analysis,it can be seen that the temperature-variable stratification treatment has a greater impact on the content of malondialdehyde,and the difference is significant.In the process of mixing gibberellin and stratification,the soluble sugar content of fringed seeds gradually increased with the increase of stratification time,while the starch,soluble protein and crude fat content showed a downward trend,indicating that the storage material participated in and adjusted The dormancy release process of tassel seeds.Among them,the low temperature and variable temperature stratification treatments gradually decompose the storage material during the stratification process and provide an energy source for seed germination.In addition,the consumption of storage materials in the species in the process of variable temperature stratification is larger than that of low temperature stratification.
