Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,extreme weather has continued to occur frequently and effective water resources have become increasingly scarce.Drought has become one of the most important abiotic stress factors affecting maize production,Therefore,evaluating and screening drought resistance of maize varieties and screening drought resistant varieties suitable for different regions have become an important way to solve the problem of maize production.In this experiment,17 excellent maize varieties approved in different years were planted under non irrigation conditions,According to the difference of natural precipitation in the maize season of 2018 in different regions,it is divided into three water stress treatments to achieve different degrees of water stress on maize,The phenotypic evaluation and drought resistance analysis of 17 maize hybrids planted in three different water environments were conducted,Ten yield related traits which were most sensitive to drought stress were used as drought resistance identification indexes of maize.The "natural yield comparison method" was put forward for the first time.The drought resistance evaluation of maize varieties and the selection of varieties suitable for different regions were carried out by combining the methods of principal component analysis,comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance and subordinate function analysis.The main results are as follows:17 maize varieties,including MC817,Dika 517 and Fengdecunyu 10,were used to study the effects of water stress on Maize Yield and related traits,The results showed that:ear length,ear diameter,ear row number,kernels per row,ear weight,grain weight and 100 grain weight were positively correlated with yield,Wherein the grain weight,panicle,ear weight,ear diameter,ear length,cob weight and 100 grain weight greater correlation,with correlation coefficients reach 0.959,0.848,0.750,0.724,0.63,0.628;negatively correlated with shaft thickness and bald tip length.Maize is sensitive to water stress,During the growth period of maize,With the decline in water can cause ear length,ear diameter,ear row number,kernels per row,ear weight and grain weight decreased,and The bald tip grows longer,thus the high and stable yield of maize is affected.The drought resistance of different maize hybrids was analyzed by natural yield comparison,principal component analysis,comprehensive evaluation and membership function analysis,The final result said,analysis of different methods of analysis due to differences in principle lead to some differences of maize drought resistance evaluation,and little difference.In selecting a variety of methods can still show good drought resistance varieties in all aspects of performance are good.Several methods common evaluation results:Jingke 968,Jingnongke 728,and Xianyu 047 showed strong drought resistance,they are tighly resistant varieties,suitable for planting in arid areas or areas less rainfall;Huanong 887 and Zhengdan 958 are medium-resistant varieties,suitable for planting in semi-arid areas;the drought resistant variety Xianyu1360 is suitable for planting in the area with low drought resistance.
