| Solenopsis invicta Buren is an important invasive insect that originated in South America.According to the social division of labor and the living habits of red imported fire ants,chemical control is the most widely used method for controlling red imported fire ants currently.However,when the medicament is applied in the field,it is affected by the environmental climate of the field,and its effect period is short.After the ant queen has not been eliminated,its efficacy has been deteriorated by the tide.In order to develop a drug that has a long-lasting effect in field application.In this paper,the attractive properties of different material capsules to red imported fire ants were studied.The main material of the capsule shell material was selected by adding some attractants and some auxiliary materials to make capsule shells with strong attraction,mildew and moisture resistance.The poisonous bait was filled in the empty capsule shell to prepare a new formulation of red imported fire ant bait capsule which traps red imported fire ants.The physical and chemical properties of the red imported fire ant bait capsule shell and capsule were studied.The red imported fire ant bait capsules were made into the field control application of red imported fire ants.The main findings are as follows:(1)The main material of the red imported fire ant bait capsule shell is gelatin.Different kinds of gelatin,seaweed,pearl and glutinous rice capsules have different attracting properties to red imported fire ants,and gelatin capsules have the strongest attraction to red imported fire ants.The total number of red fire imported ants induced in the 320 min period was 39.2 heads;after 24 h,the feed of gelatin-based capsules was the largest among the three capsules,which was 37.65 mg,which was significantly more than capsules in seaweed and glutinous rice.(2)The main attractants of the red imported fire ant bait capsule shell are corn flour,fish meal,peanut butter and corn flavor.Different attractants have different lure properties to red imported fire ants.For attractants with more red imported ants,corn gluten,fish meal,corn flavor,peanut butter,the total number of red imported fire ants attracted to each other during the 320 min period was 335.8 heads,266.2 heads,316.2 heads,and 331.8 heads.(3)Screening of red imported fire ant bait capsule shell moisture-proof excipients: Different moisture-proof materials have different hygroscopicity,and the auxiliary material with the lowest moisture absorption rate when reaching equilibrium is mannitol,and the moisture absorption rate at equilibrium is 0.055%.(4)The effect of different concentrations of capsule shell components on the cysticity of the capsule shell: the different concentrations of the components of the red imported fire ant bait capsule shell affect the cysticity of the shell,where in the gelatin concentration is 16%～22%,glycerin concentration 2%～5%,triethyl citrate concentration 1%～7%,corn flour concentration 2%～8%,fish meal concentration 3%～9%,peanut butter concentration 9%～15%,mannitol concentration 6%～12%,potassium sorbate concentration 0.1%～0.25%,and corn flavor concentration 1.5%～3% is good for the cysticity of the shell in the range,and there is a significant difference in the capsularity of the same material to the shell at different concentrations.(5)Through orthogonal test,the optimal formula of gel shell is gelatin 20%,glycerol 3%,triethyl citrate 1%,corn flour 2%,fish meal 7%,peanut butter 15%,mannitol 8%,potassium sorbate 0.1%,corn flavor 2.5%,the red fire ant bait capsule shell prepared by it has the most lure of fire ants.(6)Through the water solubility and mildew resistance test,the red imported fire ant bait capsules have better water solubility and mildew resistance,and they are continuously immersed in water for 48 hours,the dissolution rate was only 47.2%,it is significantly lower than the water dissolution rate of the empty capsule shell;The total number of molds of the red imported fire ant bait capsules after indoor open temperature control for 28 days was only 166.67 cfu/g.(7)The red imported fire ant bait capsule when applied in the field,it has good control effect on red imported fire ant when applied in the field.After 28 days of application,the red imported fire ant bait capsule with application amount of 10 g of the comprehensive control effect on the nest was 95.63%;while the comprehensive control effect of the control commodity pharmacy Yinghuihongjing net ant bait on the nest was only 64.50%.(8)The red imported fire ant bait capsule is more attractive to red imported fire ants,and can induce red imported fire ants to feed and transmit to other red imported fire ants in a short time.On the 2nd day of application,fluorescein can be detected in red imported fire worker ants,young ants,and breeding ants;fluorescein is in red imported fire ant on the 7th day after application,the inter-ant conductivity is 86.00% for worker ants,70.67% for young ants,and 76.67% for breeding ants,and the conductivity of worker ants is significantly higher than that of larvae and breeding ants. |
