| As an important part of China’s agricultural industry,animal husbandry,the development of its entire industrial chain,affects the overall development of China’s economy.Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of the economy,the living standards of residents have been continuously improved.From the initial stage of material supply,it is difficult to meet the consumption needs of residents.China has transformed into continuous innovation and development of materials.Consumer demand plays an important role in promoting national economic development.Meat is an indispensable consumer product for residents ’lives.In recent years,with the increase in income levels,residents’ demand for meat consumption has also been rising,but it has gradually changed from satisfying food and clothing consumption to a balanced diet.In recent years,due to the impact of external factors such as Sino-US trade frictions,the integration of livestock and poultry,and African swine fever,it has had a significant impact on meat production and consumption.Under this background,explore the consumption and influencing factors of Chinese residents’ meat consumption,so as to promote the growth of residents’ meat consumption demand.For optimizing the meat consumption structure,ensuring the stability of meat prices,promoting the coordinated development of animal husbandry and the economy,and improving residents’ consumption concepts It also has important practical significance.Therefore,on the basis of sorting out domestic and foreign literatures,this article takes China’ s meat production and residents’ consumption status as the starting point,and uses 2000-through consumer demand theory,consumption function theory,consumption structure theory,consumer behavior theory and related analysis methods.In 2018,the income of residents,the prices of four types of meat such as pork,beef,sheep and poultry,as well as the per capita consumption of meat,etc.,analyzed the specific situation of elasticity of demand for pork,beef,sheep and poultry in China and the trend of changes,from the perspective of demand and price Sort the intensity of alternatives,and then comb through the influencing factors of world meat consumption,construct the consumption demand function,explore the influencing factors of Chinese residents ’meat consumption,and then put forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the residents’ meat consumption.Specifically,the paper will focus on three issues: one is to analyze the current status and characteristics of meat consumption in China;the second is to determine the elasticity of demand for four types of meat in China’s pork,beef,sheep and poultry,including elasticity of demand income and elasticity of demand price And cross-price elasticity,to analyze the specific situation and trends of demand elasticity;third,to explore the influencing factors of meat consumption of Chinese residents.The results of this study show that:(1)Meat production shows a declining trend,while residents ’meat consumption and expenditure have risen steadily,the proportion of pork consumption has declined,and the consumption structure has gradually changed;the gap between urban and rural residents’ meat consumption has gradually narrowed,compared with The meat consumption of urban residents and rural residents still focuses on pork consumption,and there is still much room for improvement in beef and mutton consumption.(2)In terms of meat demand income and price elasticity,the four meats of pigs,cattle,sheep and poultry are all necessities of life and lack sensitivity to changes in income;the demand for poultry meat is the most sensitive and flexible to price changes.The three kinds of meat demand are not sensitive to their own price change demand;the price elasticity of demand is greater than the elasticity of demand income,indicating that it is more effective to stimulate meat consumer demand by regulating prices.(3)With regard to the cross-price elasticity of meat consumption and demand,the four meats of pigs,cattle,sheep and poultry are substitutes for each other.The substitution can be analyzed in terms of demand and price.From the perspective of price,a certain meat can be used The price of the category changes,observe the response of other meat demand to the price change,and rank the degree of substitution of the substitutes.(4)Regarding the influencing factors of meat consumption of Chinese residents,income,price,economic development level and urbanization level are all significant factors influencing Chinese residents’ meat consumption.In addition,combined with the analysis of demand elasticity,it is possible to simply sort the influencing factors.The most influential factor is the price,followed by the urbanization level,again the income level,and finally the economic development level. |
