| Maize is the grain crop with the highest annual output in China.It plays an important role in agricultural production and is an important strategic resource to guarantee the national food security.At present,China has applied more than 120 kinds of rare earth crops,bringing considerable economic and social benefits.As a kind of micro fertilizer,the effective application of rare earth can adjust the crop growth,promote the increase of crop yield,improve crop quality and enhance plant’s ability to withstand stress.The effects of different application methods of rare earth La and Ce(soaking seed,foliar spraying,soaking seed combined with foliar spraying)and application concentration(50mg/L,100mg/L,150mg/L,200mg/L,250mg/L)on physiological indexes of maize seedlings were studied by pot experiment with maize varieties of XY696 and TN9 as materials.At the same time,the effects of La and Ce on yield components and yield were studied under the conditions of field experiment.The aim is to prov ide theoretical basis for the application of rare earth in maize.The experimental results are as follows:Under the conditions of this experiment,the content of chlorophyll,soluble protein,soluble sugar and proline in maize seedlings could be increased by applying La and Ce miscible liquids,and the content of MDA in maize seedlings could be decreased at the same time.After spraying 150mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids on the leaf surface,the chlorophyll content of TN9 seedlings increased the most,and the increase was 37.93% compared with CK.After spraying 100mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids on the leaf surface,the MDA content of XY696 seedlings decreased the most,which greatly reduced the degree of peroxidation of plant cells.After the miscible liquids of La and Ce was soaked seedings in 200mg/L,the content of chlorophyll and soluble protein in XY696 seedlings increased the most,reaching 59.06% and 74.45%,respectively.After the miscible liquids of La and Ce was soaked seedings in 250 mg/L,the proline content of TN9 increased the most,reaching 25.20%.After the miscible liquids of La and Ce soaked seedings and foliar spraying,the soluble sugar of XY696 increased the most,reaching 62.28%.The soluble protein content of TN9 increased the most,reaching 75.84%.Applying rare earth in a certain concentration range can improve the ear character and yield of maize.Under different application methods,the optimum concentration of yield components to the maximum extent is different,and under the same application method,the effect of improvement of yield components at a relatively appropriate concentration decreases with the increase of the concentration of rare earth mixture.The yield of XY696 reached the highest after 150mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids soaking seed and foliar spraying,and that of TN9 reached the highest after 200mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids soaking seed and foliar spraying.The spike length,100-grain weight and ear grain weight of XY696 increased the most than CK after soaking seed with 150mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids,the bald tip decreased the most after soaking seed and foliar spraying with 150mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids,the ear row numbers increased the most than CK after foliar spraying of 150mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids.The spike length and 100-grain weight of TN9 increased the most after soaking seed and foliar spraying with 200mg/L La and Ce miscible liquids.After the La and Ce miscible liquids was sprayed on the blade surface,the bald tip decreased the most,and the ear row numbers and number of grains increased the most.The ear grain weight increased the most after La and Ce miscible liquids soaking seed in 200mg/L. |
