Investigation And Analysis Of Flowers,Trees And Pest In Guangzhou Fangcun Flower Market

In recent years,with the development of flower industry and its visual value,flower industry has become an indispensable part of people’s life,and plays a important role in the emerging industries of planting industry.With the development of China’s opening up process,trade between countries has become more frequent,and the invasive pests caused by species introduction and cargo transportation are become more serious.As one of the pioneers of reform and opening up city,Guangzhou has superior geographical location,suitable climatic conditions and frequent transactions.It is suitable for the production,trading and transportation of a lot of garden plants and flowers.But the huge market is accompanied by not only considerable economic benefits;there is also a huge potential risk of invasive pests.Many areas at home and abroad have conducted research on harmful plants in parks and major roads,but there was litter attention about research on the flower market.Therefore,it is urgent to conduct detailed research on the harmful pests in the typical flower market in Guangzhou.This study carried out a survey on the flower species and pests in the Fang Cun Flower Market in Guangzhou-the largest flower market in our province,and conducted a comprehensive survey and random sampling method,combined with literature search to analysis the variety of plants and flowers,the transfer production and the damage caused by pests,the study show that:1.The survey scope has a total of 2087 shops and 34 roads.The sales categories are mainly flower and wood,accounting for nearly 90%,and the rest are flower pots,flower fertilizers,materials,and warehouses.2.There are 143 species of flowers,most are grasses and woody plants,accounting for nearly 80% of the total.Among the top ten plants are: Pachira macrocarpa,Heteropanax fragrans,Epipremnum aureum,Schefflera octophylla,Lxora chinensis,Podocarpus macrophllus,Cycas revoluta,Rohdea roth,Dypsis lutescens,Dracaena angustifolia.Most of the hot-selling plants are native trees such as Podocarpus macrophllus and Rohdea roth.Most of the flowers are distributed in the five areas,Hongxing Road area,Poyuan Road area,Haizhong area and Baimu Garden area,mostly based on hot-selling plant species.3.Most of the plant are origins from the Guangdong provinces and surrounding provinces or cities,accounting for nearly 90%;the flower origin is mostly in Guangzhou,accounting for about 40%.4.The hazard of pests is relatively light.The pests are mainly leaf-eating pests such as Sylepta derogata and Spodoptera litura.The diseases are mainly leaf blight,ring rot,and leaf spot.No quarantine pests were found in the investigation.5.Establish a survey information management system with detailed data,timely access,timely updates,and convenient operation.Aiming at the species and harmful harms of Fangcun flower market,the corresponding countermeasures are proposed: firstly,conduct long-term continuous investigation and random sampling,establish and improve the investigation information management system;second,establish and improve the mechanism for measuring plant diseases and insect pests,and release the forecast early.The third is to strengthen the daily inspection and supervision,strictly standardize the quarantine standards and improve professional skills;the fourth is to improve the prevention and control techniques and choose the best prevention period;the fifth is to strengthen prevention and treatment propaganda and raise awareness of prevention and treatment.The Sixth is to strengthen the introduction and improvement of native plants.
