Study On The Stand Spatial Structure And Species Competition Relationship Of Natural Castanopsis Fordii Hance Community In YunzhongShan Nature Reserve

Abstract/Summary:
Forest ecological system fully reflects the great value contribution in human survival and social development,and grasping the information of stand structure plays an important role in forest growth,succession of forest stand and sustainable development and construction.In natural Castanopsis fordii Hance community of YunzhongShan Nature Reserve,adjacent lattice method was used to set up two experimental research plots to explore the spatial structure and the relationship between species.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)there are have wide range and complex component in Castanopsis fordii Hance community,with a total of 69 species.Hierarchical structure of the community is clear.It’s appearance reflects the obvious subtropical warm and humid climatic characteristics.According to the basic characteristics and important values of forest trees,six species of Castanopsis fordii Hance,Cyclobalanopsis glauca(Thunb.)Oerst.,Schima superba Gardn.et Champ.,Castanopsis hystrix Miq.,Pinus massoniana Lamb.,Lithocarpus glaber(Thunb.)Nakai were selected as the dominant species in the community.The succession trend of the community was dominated by Castanopsis fordii Hance.The diameter distribution of the Castanopsis fordii Hance and its community showed an inverse J-shape as a whole,which abide by the regularity of the diameter distribution of the natural uneven-aged forest.(2)Mixed degrees,neighborhood comparison,corner scale and storey index was used to analyze community forest space structure.Average mixed degree was 0.829,average neighborhood comparison and average corner scale are both 0.494,and forest storey structure is more diverse and complex,As a whole,the community has a high degree of mixed stands,a wide range of horizontal distribution,a significant difference in degree of differentiation,a strong ability to utilize vertical space resources,and shows the top mixed community characteristics.(3)Hegyi competition index was adopted to analyze Castanopsis fordii Hance community species competition.The total value of interspecific competition was 591.306,The total value of intraspecific competition was 96.702.Five dominant populations,such as Castanopsis fordii Hance,Cyclobalanopsis glauca(Thunb.)Oerst.,Schima superba Gardn.et Champ.,Castanopsis hystrix Miq.,Lithocarpus glaber(Thunb.)Nakai showed obvious interspecific and interspecific competition because of their quantitative and distribution advantages.There was no significant difference in intraspecific and interspecific competition pressures among the remaining species.Analysis on spatial structure of Castanopsis fordii Hance and relationship between species provided references and supports for using natural forest and resources reasonably and efficiently,as well as realizing sustainable development of forest.
