In China,corn is the biggest food crops and it is used as chemical raw material in various industrial fields.This article introduces several kinds of corn harvesting machinery that used in current market.There are many problems such as,mechanical harvesting is not satisfactory,corn ears injured,high grain losses,high hetero in current corn harvesting machinery.These problems can ’t be fundamentally resolved because the reason of the working principle of snapping device.In this study,we use a new way that imitate human harvest corn ears.It breaks corn ears in bending way.We design the bionic breaking corn ear and pull stem device.First,we test the breaking force of fruit stalk both in traditional way and bionic way in the state ofstatic and dynamic.We verify that the possibility of low power consumption.Measuring the physical properties of corn to determine the parameters of the bionic breaking corn ear and pull stem device.Doing the orthogonal test to find the influence of speed of breaking ear hand,travelling speed,ear direction on pure power consumption.It canprovide a reference onthe designing ofcorn harvesting machinery.1.Measuring the physical properties of corn plants Deng Hai 605,such as,height of corn ears,diameter of corn ears,plant spacing and the height of corn plants.Do tensile test on corn plants Deng Hai 605,we test the breaking force of fruit stalk both in traditional way and bionic way in the state ofstatic and dynamic.We analysis the relationship between them.2.We determine the parameters of the bionic breaking corn ear and pull stem device according to the physical properties of corn plants.Different varieties of corn may be different physical properties,in order to adapt to different varieties of corn,the key part is adjustable.And build the device based onprevious researchexperience.3.Doing the orthogonal test to find the influence of speed of breaking ear hand,travelling speed,ear direction on pure power consumption and lost grain.We do optimization design on breaking ear hand,the lost grain can be 0%.The pure power consumption is 45 W,it is less than the pure power consumption of snapping rolls.The best combination is speed of breaking ear hand is2.4m/s,travelling speed is 0.8m/s,ear direction is-90°.Considering the case of efficient harvest,the best combination is speed of breaking ear hand is 2.4m/s,travelling speed is 1.0m/s,ear direction is 0°.We can get that the influence of speed of breaking ear hand is most significant,others arenot significant.4.Based on the Orthogonal test results,we fixed corn ear toward the left,the travelling speed is 1.0m / s.Doing the single-factor factor test and finding the relationship between the peed of breaking earhand and pure powerconsumption is a cubic function.
