Objective:This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of laminarin on the growth performance,biochemical parameters,as well as antioxidant capacity of liver and spleen tissues in the Pearl gentian grouper.Method:Ten thousands and eight hundred fish were randomly divided into two groups.Blank control group was fed with the basal diet,while laminarin groups were fed with the basal diet supplemented with 0.5%laminarin,respectively,for 60 days.One hundred pearl gentian grouper were used for the growth performance measurement(weight gain,weight gain rate,daily gain,absolute weight gain,feed efficiency and protein efficiency),blood samples from twenty four pearl gentian grouper were used for the immunological and biochemical parameters(WBC,RBC,LZM,ACP,IgM and A/G)investigation,then liver and spleen were collected and weighed,and GR,T-SOD,CAT,GPx,GST and T-AOC of spleen and liver were determined.Results:1、Effect of laminarin on growth performance:The finally weight,the weight gain rate,daily gain,weight gain,protein efficiency and feed efficiency between the experimental group and the control group were extremely significantly different(P<0.01);The fullness between the experimental group and the control group were significantly different(P<0.05);The dirty body ratio and the survival rate between the experimental group and the control group were not significantly different(P>0.05);2、Effects of laminarin on the development of immune organs:The white blood cell count between the experimental group and the control group were extremely significantly different(P<0.01);The red blood cell count,the liver body ratio,spleen body ratio and renal volume ratio between the experimental group and the control group were significantly different(P<0.05)3、Effect of laminarin on blood biochemical indexes:The LZM,ACP and IgM;A/G was extremely significantly different between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01).4、Effect of laminarin anti-oxidation and immune function of liver and spleen:①Effect on spleen:The Spleen of MDA,PC,WBC,ASA,AHR,T-SOD,CAT,GST and GR were extremely significantly different between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01);The GPx between the experimental group and the control group were significantly different(P<0.05);②Effect on liver:The Spleen of PC,AHR,T-SOD,CAT and GST were extremely significantly different between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.01);The MDA,ASA,GPx and GR between the experimental group and the control group were significantly different(P<0.05);Conclusion:In conclusion,dietary administration of laminarin could improve the feed efficiency and growth rate of pearl gentian grouper;it also could enhance the non-specific immunity of pearl gentian grouper.Therefore,our data,for the first time,demonstrated that laminarin could be used as an additive to promote growth and enhance immunity in groupers. |
