Research On The Development Level Of China’s Green Economy Based On The Adjustment Of Energy Consumption Structure

In the past,the extensive mode of economic development brought about many problems of resources and environment.Resource exhaustion limited economic development and environmental pollution harmed human health.Under the dual pressure of resources and environment,China has incorporated the development of green economy into its national development plan.At the same time,China is ushering in a new energy revolution,which will affect both the environment and the economy.The new energy revolution aims to increase the proportion of clean energy consumption in order to ease the tension of fossil energy in China and meet the requirements of "carbon reduction";Energy is an important resource element of economic growth,and the adjustment of its structure will have an important impact on economic growth.Therefore,this paper studies the relationship between the adjustment of energy consumption structure and the development level of green economy,which is of great significance for promoting the rationalization of energy consumption structure and realizing the sustainable development of green economy.First of all,on the basis of combing relevant theories and literature,the paper analyzes the current situation of energy consumption structure adjustment and green economy development,and constructs the indicator system of green economy development level,and obtains the measurement results of green economy development level of each province by using cluster analysis method.Secondly,on the basis of literature review and current situation analysis,qualitative analysis is made on the mechanism of energy consumption structure affecting the development of green economy,and research hypotheses are put forward.Thirdly,the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2013 and 2014 to 2018 were empirically analyzed by using random effects model,and robustness tests were conducted by region and time segment.Then,economic strength,technological progress level,urban openness,industrial structure,population pressure and geographical conditions are used as threshold variables to test the time change effect of energy consumption structure adjustment on green economic development level.Finally,policy suggestions are given from two aspects of promoting the adjustment of energy consumption structure and improving the development level of green economy.The results show that: first,China’s energy consumption structure adjustment trend is low carbon,clean and diversified,coal consumption will continue to decline,oil and natural gas consumption will peak in 2030 and 2045 respectively.At the same time,there are differences in energy consumption structure among different sectors and regions.Second,on the whole,China’s green economic development policy design is becoming more and more perfect,the implementation of the strategy has achieved initial results,but there are still shortcomings in green laws and regulations,trade system,green technology and other aspects.In terms of provinces,green economic development needs to be strengthened in all provinces except 14,including Beijing,Liaoning,Shanghai and Fujian.Thirdly,since 2013,the adjustment of energy consumption structure in the secondary industry has a positive impact on the development level of green economy;But the effect of the adjustment of household energy consumption structure is poor.Fourthly,there is heterogeneity in the influence of energy consumption structure in different regions on the development level of green economy.Fifth,the influence of energy consumption structure on the development level of green economy has time change effect,that is,there are double threshold effects of economy,technology,trade,industrial structure,population pressure and geographical conditions.
