Research On Spatial Transformation Of Vernacular Architecture Based On Critical Regionalism ——Taking The Former Residence Of Wu Yuanyou And The Chief Secretary In Daojun Village Of Haikou City As An Example

The vernacular architecture is a witness to the historical development process of the countryside,and it is also an important material cultural heritage.It carries the profound local culture and embodies the wisdom of the working people.Whether it is the use of materials,construction concepts,or spatial and structural forms,it is of great cultural and artistic value.However,in the process of rapid urbanization,a large number of vernacular buildings have been destroyed or even disappeared.Under the background of the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,how to maintain the vernacular architecture and realize the sustainable development of the vernacular architecture has become an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the theory of critical regionalism,combined with the critical dialectical design thinking attitude,this paper proposes a combination of regional elements and design methods that affect the renovation of vernacular architecture in traditional villages.The former residence of Wu Yuanyou in Daojun Village,Haikou City,a national-level traditional village Taking the Chief Secretary as an example,after many field investigations,the regional elements that affect the layout,type and composition of the vernacular architectural space in Daojun village are firstly summarized,and the current situation of the vernacular architecture in Daojun village is analyzed based on the research results.Secondly,the vernacular architecture is discussed from the aspects of site,form,and material,and the overall principle,aesthetic principle and sustainable development principle of vernacular building renovation are put forward,and the architectural integration of nature,the principle of aesthetics and the principle of sustainable development is summarized from the three aspects of site,function and material.Combining modern materials and extracting cultural symbols,vernacular architectural space renovation design strategy.Finally,combined with the practice of vernacular architectural space reconstruction in Daojun Village,the design strategy is verified to realize the organic combination of locality and modernization of Daojun Village vernacular architecture.It is hoped that the research results of this paper can provide effective theoretical guidance and feasible design methods for the protection and inheritance of vernacular architecture in Daojun Village,Haikou City,and the sustainable development of Chinese vernacular architecture.
