This paper introduces the process of bullets penetrating the target material made of tempered glass,polycarbonate(also called PC board)and ordinary glass,and discusses the impact resistance of bulletproof glass protective materials from numerical simulations.On the basis of the impact resistance theory of bullet-proof glass protective materials,tempered flat tempered glass,polycarbonate and ordinary glass are selected as the raw materials of the composite target plate.The models were simulated for impact resistance performance respectively.After obtaining the simulation results,it was found that the composite target plate material was ranked best when tempered glass-polycarbonate-ordinary glass(G-PC-B for short)was used.Different thickness schemes and numerical simulations are carried out for different thickness schemes,and the anti-penetration performance of bulletproof glass is simulated through the simulation results.Finally,it can be found that the anti-penetration performance of the composite structure is the best when the thickness of each layer is 19/8/30.Good,able to resist 7.62 mm armor-piercing rounds.By analyzing the simulation results of bulletproof glass with different material structures and different thickness schemes,the optimal bulletproof glass material structure is obtained,which can resist 7.62 mm armor-piercing projectiles.
