In a general sense,electric energy refers to large-scale energy that can provide power supply for factories,cities and even countries.The evaluation indicators of large-scale energy include power,stability and cost.The cost is a very important indicator.However,there are currently trillions of discretely distributed sensing units in the world,and these sensing units mainly rely on power grids or chemical batteries to provide power for these sensors,which brings a huge economic burden.Nano energy is a self-driving energy that can provide continuous and maintenance-free energy for micro-nano systems.Triboelectric nanogenerators have been widely studied under the situation of economic globalization due to their advantages of low cost,easy manufacture and strong environmental friendliness.Research on triboelectric nanogenerator can be divided into the following four categories: micro/nanoenergy sources,self-powered sensors,blue energy and high-voltage power sources.This article belongs to environmental micro/nanoenergy sources.There is a correlation between the output performance of the triboelectric nanogenerator and the external input energy.Therefore,some low-frequency and irregular characteristics of natural mechanical energy will lead to the problems of weak output performance and unsteady current of conventional triboelectric nanogenerator.Aiming at this key technical problem,this paper proposes a mechanical adjustment type triboelectric nanogenerator for natural wind energy harvesting,which realizes the effective harvest of breeze or random natural wind energy.The details of this article are as follows:First,Maxwell’s displacement current theory is introduced as the basis of triboelectric nanogenerator,and the basic theory and four basic power generation modes of triboelectric nanogenerator are further elaborated,revealing its intrinsic physical mechanism.Through the analysis of the four basic power generation modes,the free-standing mode is selected as the basic power generation mode of mechanical adjustment type triboelectric nanogenerator.Aiming at the low-frequency and randomness of wind energy,the mechanical properties of the mechanical structure and the electrical output properties of the triboelectric nanogenerator are coupled.This paper analyzes the influence of mechanical structure parameters on the output of the mechanical adjustment type triboelectric nanogenerator,and clarifies the design idea of the mechanical adjustment type triboelectric nanogenerator for natural wind energy harvesting.Secondly,the breeze-harvested triboelectric nanogenerator and the random wind energy steady output triboelectric nanogenerator are designed,including 3D modeling,simulation analysis,and the prototype was made.Build an experimental test platform simulating natural wind environment,design system experiments,and evaluate physical prototypes through the open-circuit voltage,short-circuit current,peak power,etc.measured in the experiment,and finally carry out application research in simulated natural environment or real natural environment.The experimental results show that the triboelectric nanogenerator can work normally in the environment of wind speed of 3.0 m/s.The calculated open-circuit voltage of the direct-current generation unit can reach up to21.5 k V,the short-circuit current can reach up to 6.1 μA,and the peak power can reach 48 m W.At the same time,the ability to produce ozone under the driving of the breeze is demonstrated,and the open-circuit voltage output by the alternating-current unit is 200 V,the short-circuit current is 4.0 μA,and the highest peak power can reach 0.9 m W;on the other hand,the proposed steady output triboelectric nanogenerator can achieve steady power output under the input of random wind,and the output open-circuit voltage is 500 V,the short-circuit current can reach 15.0 μA,the peak power can reach 7.0 m W,and the current fluctuation is 2.3%.In terms of application,it can stably supply power to electrical appliances under simulated natural wind driving conditions.This study verifies that mechanical adjustment type triboelectric nanogenerator can effectively improve the breeze harvest ability of triboelectric nanogenerator by reducing the starting torque and utilizing the charge edge effect,and can also achieve steady output of the triboelectric nanogenerator by means of energy storage.The research in this paper has certain significance for promoting the development of triboelectric nanogenerators in the field of wind energy harvest.
