| In recent years,the planting forms of urban green space plants generally pay attention to the construction of visual landscape,mostly tall trees with trimmed hedges,shrub balls and lawns.Although a large number of herbs are used in the road green space,the overall application level is not high,the replacement frequency is high and the form is single,which cannot give full play to the advantages of herbs,and the ecological benefits of the road plant community cannot be maximized.In addition,in the high temperature and sultry environment of urban roads in summer,the water evaporation rate is fast.Therefore,it is necessary to introduce herbs with good landscape effect,drought resistance and cold resistance,and long life into the urban road green space,which can better cover the green space,reduce water consumption,maintain water and soil,enrich the existing road plant landscape,and give full play to the advantages of plants.This paper takes the urban road green space in Xi’an as the breakthrough point,and studies the construction methods of drought-tolerant herbs in the urban green space in Xi’an.Firstly,based on the theory of urban road landscape and herbs,the relationship between urban road green space and drought-tolerant herbs is discussed.The plant landscape of 19 roads in Xi’an was investigated and analyzed,of which about 152 kinds of herbs were used,and the problems such as uneven distribution of actual application of herbs and single plant landscape in urban roads in Xi’an were analyzed and summarized.Secondly,through the two major aspects of herb fitness and ornamental characteristics,the commonly used herbs in Xi’an were screened,and drought-tolerant herbs suitable for road habitats and good ornamental characteristics were selected.And the selection ideas and construction methods of drought-tolerant herbs in urban road green space are summarized from three aspects of different road habitats,needs and other plant combinations.Finally,combining theory with practice,selecting Xitong Road in Xi’an City as the sample plot,combining its overall planning and design of trees and shrubs,select suitable drought-tolerant plants from the main plants for plant landscape construction.By analyzing the application characteristics of herbs,this paper screened out 44drought-tolerant herbs suitable for Xi’an road green space,among which 27 are the main plants,providing herb selection for creating ecological water-saving and low-maintenance landscapes;and proposed herbs in urban roads.The construction ideas and methods,as well as the new planting mode of Xi’an urban road plant landscape,provide a reference for the design of water-saving landscape plants in the northwest region. |
