Research On The Planning And Design Of Forest Health Base From The Perspective Of Ecotourism

With the rapid development of China’s cities over the decades and the accelerated pace of urban life,the number of sub-healthy people in China has been increasing,which has triggered a change in people’s concept of health and the rapid development of China’s health industry,with forest health care gradually becoming a popular leisure behaviour.As a new way of multi-functional use of forest resources,forest health care bases have been developing rapidly in China in recent years.However,in the context of traditional tourism,the forest ecological environment is prone to destruction,therefore,how to carry out the planning and construction of forest health care bases under the premise of ecological protection has become a new way of thinking.It is important to explore the integration of ecotourism and forest health care.This paper firstly outlines the concepts and theories related to forest health care and ecotourism,analyses the research progress at home and abroad,summarises the problems of forest health care in China at the present stage,such as the late start of development,large regional differences and single form of content,and puts forward the solution ideas such as integrating development with ecotourism.Secondly,the relevance of ecotourism and forest health care is analysed,and the significance of the integration of forest health care and ecotourism is summarised.Afterwards,the excellent cases of forest health care bases at home and abroad are analysed and studied.Based on the experience of the excellent cases,the planning and design strategies of forest health care bases from the perspective of ecotourism are proposed-strengthening ecological environmental protection,developing multi-seasonal tourism projects,enhancing the construction of supporting facilities for forest health care,and enriching forest health care products.Finally,the above research findings are applied to the planning and design of the Baiji Peak Forest Health care Base in Tonghua City,and the planning and practice of forest health care base design from an ecotourism perspective is carried out.China has good natural forest resources and forest health care has been explored for many years as one of the methods of multifunctional forest utilisation,but forest health care bases are subject to geographical and land policy constraints,resulting in uneven development across the country,especially in the northeastern region.This study addresses the problems of homogenisation and small scale of health care bases in China’s current situation,and takes the Baiji Peak Forest Health care Base in Tonghua City,Jilin Province,located at the southeastern foot of the Changbai Mountain Range,as a practical case study to integrate health care bases with ecotourism,in an attempt to explore a suitable pathway for the future development of forest health care in the northern region.
