Study On Designing The Traditional Buildings’ Interactive Display

Canton traditional buildings are art treasures which reflect living habits of the local people,and show the canton region’s ideology and culture of specific period.Also,Canton traditional architecture is important part of Chinese traditional architecture.With the changes of lifestyle and development of urbanization,Canton traditional buildings are facing series of problems:demolition,reconstruction and so on.At the same time,the protection of traditional buildings has become scholars’ hot research topic.Affected by the modern technology,some internal and external scholars begin advocating for the traditional buildings’ digital protection and supporting that buildings’ display method transforms from the traditional graphic and text display to interactive digital display,which is already showing results.But,in some buildings’ display works,there are still problems,such as that it’s not done enough to pass on the culture space by living way;it’s not interesting enough of the cultural expressing ways;it’s too single of the way to display digitally.To achieve the digital protection of Canton traditional buildings,it’s needed to analyze research efforts on how the domestic and foreign traditional buildings are protected and how they are displayed digitally and interactively.Based on the analysis above,the design process and methods could be summarized.Then,through connecting with digital interactive technology to make a comprehensive study on three aspects : reconstructing building space digitally;expressing culture multi-dimensionally and interactively;digital display and communication,interactive display of Canton traditional buildings could finally be achieved.
