In recent years,under the background of the construction of "Flower city" in Shenzhen,the application of perennial herbaceous flowers in Shenzhen has reached unprecedented splendor.On this basis,this paper,through the study of the new Perennialist landscape design concept,takes the main urban parks of Shenzhen as the research object,combines theory with practice.Fill in the blank of creating a new type of horticulture in the construction of modern urban natural garden landscape,achieve the purpose of improving the diversity of urban plants,improving the urban natural landscape,reducing the cost of urban greening maintenance and management.The main research achievements of this paper include:1.This article combed the development course of "new" perennial horticultural application cases at home and abroad,and summarizes the new perennial is the representative figure of each stage in the development process of landscape and the application of plant material,it is concluded that the core content of new perennial is on the premise of natural type using the perennial herbaceous flower,Small trees,shrubs and lianas are used to create an urban plant landscape with regional characteristics,sustainable development of the whole plant community and minimization of conservation and management,which is a new horticulture suitable for Shenzhen area.In addition,by comparing the plant planting methods of distributed grass seed mixing method and thematic hierarchical mixing method adopted by James Hitchmough and Piet Oudolf,the leaders of new perennialism,it is concluded that thematic hierarchical mixing method is more suitable for the regional characteristics of Shenzhen,providing a theoretical basis for subsequent empirical research.2.Select new representative of shenzhen city parks perennial garden plants application status of the investigation,the total new socialist material 51 families and 110 species of garden plants,perennial in the community structure,species composition,growth potential,the respect such as application of frequency analysis,constructs the comprehensive evaluation system of new perennial garden plants,Finally,31 species of grade I,45 species of grade Ⅱ,26 species of grade Ⅲ and 8 species of grade Ⅳ were screened out.Among them,grade I and Ⅱ plants can be directly applied to the new perennialist garden in Shenzhen,constituting the skeleton of the whole plant community,supplemented by grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ plants to highlight the regional characteristics or regulate the atmosphere.3.Using the opportunity of "Shenzhen 2020 Azalea Show",a total of49 species of garden plants were used in the garden exhibition area and boutique exhibition area using Piet Oudolf’s thematic hierarchical planting method,providing reference for plant landscape design in South China.
