Study On The Walkability Environment Of Urban Blocks Based On Multi-source Data Analysis

Abstract/Summary:
Since the 21 st century,China’s urbanization level has been rapidly promoted.With the rapid development of urban economy,the progress of transportation technology,and the improvement of people’s living standards,motor vehicle travel has become the main mode of transportation,the walkability and walking environment of urban streets are often ignored,and a series of problems such as traffic congestion and environmental pollution are increasingly prominent.Taking Xueyuanlu Sub-districtt in Beijing as an example,this paper intercepts data such as remote sensing image map of Xueyuanlu Sub-districtt in 2019,analyzes the connectivity of Xueyuanlu Sub-districttt through GIS,Depth Map and other software,and analyzes the accessibility and diversity of daily service facilities on Xueyuanlu Sub-districtt by selecting POI data of Gaode Map.By using Baidu map panorama and Deeplab.v3+ street view semantic segmentation model.By using the method of questionnaire survey,safety and pleasure analysis were carried out to jointly explore the characteristics and influencing factors of walkability of Xueyuanlu Sub-districtt environment,and put forward optimization strategies.First of all,the background and origin of pedestrianization are described,the concept of street walkability and related definitions are differentiated,and the related studies and cases of pedestrianization and human-vehicle relationship in domestic and foreign cities are summarized and analyzed.The results show that,in terms of road connectivity,the pedestrian space on both sides of the arterial road in Xueyuanlu Sub-districtt has a higher degree of integration and choice,while the road accessibility inside the campus and the research institute is lower.In terms of service facilities,the overall accessibility of service facilities is good,but the layout is unbalanced,and the accessibility of service facilities between Xueqing Road and the north east of Xueqing Road is low.In the aspect of street safety,the overall safety coefficient of street walking space is high.In terms of street comfort and pleasure,users’ overall satisfaction with the walking environment is bounded by Xueqing Road and Xueyuan Road north,which shows the characteristics of high satisfaction in the west and low satisfaction in the east.The improvement strategies include :(1)To improve the accessibility of the streets,and to build Xueyuanlu Sub-district with internal and external interconnection;(2)Enrich the types of service facilities and enhance the vitality of Xueyuanlu Sub-district;(3)Improve street design and build comfortable Xueyuanlu Sub-district;(4)Strengthen urban management and build open,shared,diverse and dynamic Xueyuanlu Sub-district.The research in this paper is helpful to improve the pedestrian space environment of Xueyuanlu Subdistrictt in Beijing,in order to provide reference for the allocation of urban street resources and the construction of green pedestrian environment.
