Investigation And Research On "courtyard"of Hanyin Traditional Residence

The traditional residential "yard" is an ancient house survived for hundreds of years in Hanyin,also known as "ancient folk house" or "traditional folk house".The "yard" is widely distributed in Hanyin,influenced by the immigration movement of "filling Sichuan with lakes" and diversified architectural styles.However,as urbanization accelerates,traditional courtyards are being knocked down and turned into modern buildings,and century-old houses are being turned into cold concrete and steel replicas.Most of what remains are dilapidated courtyards,some crumbling.Due to this current situation,we find that there are human and natural causes for that.what’s more,the remaining country yards have been unable to meet residential needs,and development of the yards is very limited.This paper selected the representative part of Hanyin "courtyards" as the research object,a total of 15 courtyards.Based on the first-hand data of practical mapping and survey for many times,the research was carried out.Different research methods were adopted according to the status quo of different dwellings.The main research methods were on-site investigation and systematic analysis method,supplemented by literature research and summary induction method.The first part introduces the background of natural geography and social humanity,analyzes the distribution of dwellings and classifies them.The second part analyzes the general situation and space structure of folk dwellings through the field survey of four types of examples.The third part summarizes the site selection characteristics,architectural style,architectural structure,spatial layout,architectural decoration,materials and technical means of folk dwellings through the comparative study of four types of "courtyards" : A,B,C and D.The fourth part evaluates the historical and cultural value of the folk dwellings and the realistic value under the background of the new era on the basis of the analysis of the protection status of the "courtyard",and puts forward thinking and suggestions on the protection and development mode of the traditional folk dwellings in the future.It is hoped that this research can arouse people’s awareness of protection to a certain extent,take the initiative to maintain traditional dwellings,and also provide theoretical reference and practical examples for the related,so as to make a little contribution to the protection of dwellings in Hanyin County.There are 93 pictures,5 table and 58 references.
