In modern urban road lighting,traditional lighting control system that only provides time switch lights in the evening and morning to turn off some lights in the late night and early morning can no longer meet the demand.With urban roads continue to develop with the urbanization of China,the proportion of lighting electricity consumption in the total lighting electricity consumption of the country has only increased,which is inconsistent with the development of sustainable development and the realization of urban green lighting.For this reason,research and development of a new energy-saving street lamp lighting control system is very important.This thesis designs and develops an urban road lighting smart monitoring system,which is composed of several monitoring sub-systems,with the urban road power supply and distribution system as a unit to divide the control range of the monitoring subsystem.Among them,the monitoring subsystem is divided into two categories: main control cabinet and sub-control cabinet.The main control cabinet,which uses an industrial computer as the controller,mainly realizes the functions of switching on and off of all street lights under the monitoring system,dimming and switching control of the main control cabinet circuit,collection of circuit status and meter parameters,and inspection of street light faults.The sub-control cabinet,which uses a Lo Ra wireless data collector as the controller,it mainly realizes the functions of circuit switch control,circuit status and meter parameter collection,and at the same time receives commands from the main control cabinet and returns the corresponding information.The main control cabinet sends commands to the Lo Ra wireless light controller,which completes the control of the light power and output power.The Lo Ra wireless coordinator in the main control cabinet is the central node,connecting the Lo Ra wireless light controller and the Lo Ra wireless data collector to form an urban road lighting smart monitoring network.An adaptive energy-saving control algorithm is proposed and researched based on urban road lighting design standards,which consists of the light switch time adaptive algorithm and the night adaptive dimming algorithm.The light switch time adaptive algorithm uses real-time average brightness feedback of the road surface,and compares the brightness of the road surface based on the standard design during sunrise and sunset periods to adaptively adjust the actual switch light time.The night adaptive dimming algorithm calculates the average traffic flow according to the hour of the road,and calculates the corresponding road lighting brightness by the hour during the night lighting period,and realizes the time-division dimming control strategy that matches the statistical results of the traffic flow,which can ensure the safety of driving and can achieve significant energy saving.The communication protocol between the modules in the monitoring system is one of the keys to guarantee the reliable operation of the system.In this paper,RS-485 communication and Lo Ra wireless communication are mainly used,and the communication protocol between the 4G communication module and the IPC is mainly designed.The IPC in the main control cabinet acts as the host of the monitoring system and runs the system monitoring program.The program mainly designs the interface and working procedures of the monitoring system to realize the human-computer interaction operation and system status monitoring,mode switching,parameter configuration and data analysis.Finally,the system was tested and operated on a secondary arterial road in Jiangsu Province,which showed that the system can reliably realize the monitoring functions of remote wireless switch lights and dimming control of regional road lights,and verified the effectiveness of the adaptive control algorithm for urban road lighting.Compared with the traditional control method,the energy saving rate reaches 38.6%.
